Call me crazy, but I’m going to say it… I am grateful it has taken Nathan and Elizabeth 5+ seasons to finally come together. It has been a long, painful, sometimes hopeless road, but I believe that they are more ready now than ever to be truly in love with each other. I absolutely cannot wait to see this happen.

I look forward to some very funny scenes where they drive each other completely crazy and then they realize the humor in it all and make up. She and Lucas had such a polite relationship. It was sometimes painful to watch them stay so carefully on the surface, emotionally. I think Lucas was afraid to look too deeply for fear Nathan was the one Elizabeth really wanted.

She's going to drive him as crazy as Rosemary drives Lee and vice versa. They are absolutely crazy about each other. It's going to be a roller coaster of tender and emotional at times and hilarious at others. I can't wait! I'm looking forward to the day Nathan asks, for her father's blessing, to marry her, the third guy for this same daughter. If the writers don't have fun with that one, it will truly be a missed opportunity, two mounties and a saloon owner/gambler/governor.

A woman who will enjoy his love language the grand gestures & formal style that he likes to wine & dine a woman with. Elizabeth grew up with that lifestyle in Hamilton & dated her first boyfriend Charles as a teenager/young adult. I think that Lucas was wealthy & reminded Elizabeth of the lifestyle she grew up with in her parents home in Hamilton. I think the writers called Lucas & Elizabeth's relationship a safe relationship, a safe love because Lucas reminded her of the combination of her wealthy father & Charles Kensington who I think were both good men. However, Elizabeth went to college & ended up after she finished her schooling coming to Coal Valley to teach breaking up with Charles & leaving her family for an new adventure teaching in Coal Valley. So I think after losing Jack, Lucas was a charmer & Elizabeth had a fondness for Lucas. Elizabeth rejected Nathan out of fear, but was in love with Nathan in S8, but Elizabeth didn't want to lose another great love. So Elizabeth was afraid of a relationship with Nathan. But Lucas was charming & kept pursuing Elizabeth so she got into a safe relationship with Lucas. At first I think it was a fondness Elizabeth had for Lucas. Overtime that fondness grew into a safe love. The relationship with Lucas was familiar, comfortable & safe as Elizabeth was reminded of her dad & Charles with her relationship with Lucas with Lucas own style to it & totally way more sexy than Charles ever was. 😂 Of course I would say that just because Lucas & Charles were businessman doesn't mean they were completely the same either. There were differences between Lucas & Charles. They have similarities both being wealthy businessmen but are different men too. But that's exactly 💯 what we TN tell TL about Nathan & Jack while there are some similarities because they both are mounties Nathan is his own man. Jack & Nathan have different personality are different men. Both good men, but Nathan & Jack had the same core values. In the end Elizabeth's relationship became unsafe with Lucas when he ran for governor because Elizabeth didn't want to leave HV. I mean Lucas was away 8 months after he was elected recovering in the hospital some in CC & then working in CC before he came back to HV with the resort project. Now that's over & the governor is going back to where government is run Capital City to be the governor. Plus Elizabeth is deeply in love with Nathan. Also, Elizabeth wants to raise Jack Jr. in HV. I do hope Lucas becomes a good governor & gets a new girlfriend in CC. I think Lindsay ended the Soap Valley love triangle. 😂 Both men will get great relationships & not competition with each other for Elizabeth's love anymore. Nathan and Elizabeth are a couple now.

I wonder what articles will be written about Lucas' past from Randall & Rosemary or other reporters that dig into Lucas' life with his ex-girlfriend, Jeanette who is a criminal. I'm thinking Lucas will get a redemption story because of his past & will end up remaining governor. Rosemary will write good articles on how Lucas has changed. Lucas will get a beautiful redemption story (like Henry Gowen- we all love Henry now) Then all the things I said before will happen for Lucas. He will be a successful governor & get a new girlfriend. 😊
