Even though I like Nathan for Elizabeth, I look forward to seeing Lucas find love and smile again too. It was a little painful to watch Lucas this season. Not one smile except when he first saw Henry

@@pamelanelson9610 Yes no smile & he has a beautiful smile & a contagious laugh. His eyes light up when he smiles. I want him to find someone who will truly love him.

I don't want them to rush him into love. After being betrayed by Jeanette and despised and rejected by Elizabeth, and given the fact that he doesn't easily trust anyone anyway, I don't think that his path to true love will be an easy one. He will need someone to be as patient and kind with him as he was with Elizabeth. He will not easily trust and love again and I don't want them to give him something superficial until they realize that unless he supplants Elizabeth as the hero of the show, he and Elizabeth cannot be on separate paths. The longer they keep them separate, the more unrealistic and unbelievable the show will become until it degenerates into utter nonsense.

​@@JeanetteJensen-td6jx I don't think Elizabeth despised him. I think she loves him for the wrong reasons. Maybe he should be wooed like he wooed Elizabeth. That would be interesting to see

@@JeanetteJensen-td6jx If they give him a new love interest ,it won’t be rushed it’s already been a whole season that he’s alone.E is the one they rushed ,she just jumped from one man to the other. But I do agree it has to be someone he can trust & love him back & stay with him for as long as the show goes on. After all we don’t know how long this show will last &before that happens I want to see Lucas happy & in love again.❤️

I hope season 12 shows us that he was NEVER a bad man. Let's have him a little like his favourite character - Robin Hood, who was only believed to be an outlaw by those who were themselves outlaws. To ordinary peace-loving, law-abiding, patriotic citizens, Robin Hood was always a brave, kind, compassionate man who fought for what was right, using the crookery of crooks against themselves...so his methods were not always the best, but his motives were always honest and self-sacrificing.

Absolutely, I also feel a little apprehensive after everything we’ve been through, but it certainly looks like they are going to keep them together :)

This wasn’t progression, it was regression. Elizabeth went from a kind love person to a juvenile, mean, fickle woman. Lucas went from a kind gentle, generous man to a shady character. I see no progression there.

I agree, I appreciate the fact that despite the storyline changing direction a couple of times, Elizabeth still has a believable arc.

@@summerdayvideos I don't think it's believable. They made Lucas into someone he never was. They brought in Jeanette and made her a person she never was. We had to forget all the previous story lines about Lucas and Elizabeth to believe this new story line. They made Elizabeth into a mean, fickle, juvenile woman. I think that's the safest part of all. I used to love Elizabeth, now I hope she leaves the show because she isn't near the person she was.
