No one's commented that Elizabeth calls herself Miss Corday in her first appearances. I had forgotten surgeons in the UK go by Mr., Mrs., Ms. and Miss.
@stephenreeves-brown72193 жыл бұрын
All to do when to become a surgeon in the UK (in the 1700's) you did an apprenticeship which was then examined by the "Surgeons' Company" (now the Royal College of Surgeons) and not a university degree, hence surgeons were not entitled to use the title of Doctor. This has been at tradition that has stuck with the Royal College of Surgeons, so now you have individuals going from Mr, Mrs, Ms or Miss, to then qualifying as a doctor (as they all do the medical degree now), then after doing their final exam to become a consultant (attending) surgeon with the Royal College of Surgeons they revert back to their original title. Just one of those weird, historic idiosyncrasies.
@charlieh97253 жыл бұрын
@@stephenreeves-brown7219 it’s not when they become a consultant, it’s as soon as they enter the RCS. So when they pass the membership of the royal college of surgeons exam, which they do at the end of CST2. By the time they take their CCT exam they will have been surgeons for several years.

These were the episodes in which Benton was not really on good footing with Carter. That's why he wants Carter to leave. Maggie and Carter have a friendly yet oddly competative relationship which is why she wants this case to herself. And Weaver once again shows that she's a bad teacher by not letting at least Carter's med student stay to observe an interesting case, probably because it is not by the book.
@MsQuartermaine4 жыл бұрын
Regardless of what was going on with Carter/Benton and Carter/Maggie, Carter and his student were in the way (2:13). Not sure what Weaver being a teacher has to do with it. She was just kindly ushering them out because Carter wasn't listening to Benton or Maggie. Also, there would be plenty of gun shot wound traumas for Henry to observe. This simply wasn't a good time.
@GermanLeftist4 жыл бұрын
@@MsQuartermaine Mark would have allowed them to stay and told Henry where to stay to get the best look without being in the way. Weaver is not a good hands on teacher, something that is shown throughout the series.

You know, I just watched S10E8 and the way the screenwriters wrote off Romano hurt.... I may not have liked how he treated staff but there were times he did care and through all that chaos in episode 8, no one even knew Romano was still under the helicopter and Elizabeth was the only one who showed for his memorial......

A clip that you should upload is back when the son of Sam (if I recalled correctly) came to visit the hospital and Luka was pretty much taking care of him and answering his questions. One part of that episode that was so hilarious was when they brought in a male patient who was raped and the kid was so surprised and said outloud: "They can rape guys?!" and Luka just grabs him and sends him out (while trying to not laugh)
