The thing is that it had nothing to do with Kerry wanted to bully Mark. She was just concerned that Mark may not bounce back after the surgery. Yes she should have spoken to Mark about it. But she was concerned about hospital and patient's safety.

Kerry did it because she wanted to protect Mark hospital and patients. Mark was messing up words after his surgery. It had nothing to do with bullying. Something that you don't really understand. In fact no one in this comment section does. So if you were in the middle of the trauma and a doctor couldn't get orders right what would you do? In that situation it doesn't matter that he had surgery.

Weaver was taking hormones to become pregnant around this time I believe so this may have caused her to be more upset than normal due to hormones, and I think they are all surrounding the same patient but don't quote me as I'm not 100% sure

l hated Kerry, she had to be right all the time and when shes wrong none of her medical training has taught her to admit it. l personally hate people like that, if you can't admit to your failures when you should you will be getting in trouble and when Liz called her out she should have resigned right then and there before Liz somehow got her fired! l was wanting to see that. So Kerry had to do something about it. She didn't want to bully Mark. She did take his illness and death hard. In fact both were right. Kerry was worried about patients

Kowtowed, (Not sure if I spelled it right) means butting in on every situation in every department and, as Elizabeth says, at this point, Kerry wasn't Chief of Staff, just head of the ER.It's true that this is right after Greene, her husband died so she was in mourning but everything she said to Weaver is still right.

Tough Taurus According to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, "kowtowed" is similar to "flattered" "worshipped" or "idolized." It doesn't look like it has anything to do with butting in. But IIRC, Kerry was acting as Chief of Staff. I don't know if that was official or her choice, but if it was official, then she was right to question Elizabeth about her attitude. I watched it twice, and Elizabeth was rude in the trauma. And actually, even as Chief of the ER, Kerry was right to say something because the situation occurred in the ER.

I think I'm in the minority here, because I think that Weaver was speaking professionally, even if she wasn't 100% correct, and Corday was being a self-important snot. "You don't agree with me? Fine! I'll mouth off to you until I get my way!" Ugh... Weaver isn't my favorite character either, but Corday makes me sick. It's fine if you guys don't agree with me, but I can't stand her.

In this instance tho, Weaver was completely out of line. She was basically gaslighting Corday with the ‘Copping an attitude with me and my staff’ when it was purely Weaver herself that Corday has a disagreement with. Plus the condescending ‘aren’t you taking too much on your plate’ all while completely ignoring anything that Corday said.

@@omegastar19 Dr. Carter non-verbally indicated he noticed an issue with Dr. Corday - more than one actually - and that was my validation that Dr. Corday was the one who was out of line. Dr. Weaver starting out the discussion with saying Dr. Corday was taking on too much was a professional, respectful way to approach the issue. As it turned out, Dr. Corday had a personal issue with Dr. Weaver and unfortunately the hormones Dr. Weaver was taking cut the conversation short.
