Yes it's a very serious communication issue. That happened to me too many times and I was all by myself! It's still happening. That's why I fighting for Justice for people like me, I am an American lady citizen Deaf/HOH loves sign language to connect between deaf and hearing worlds.

VRI the hospital never check it it running. And they need higher internet for VRI. That huge problem .

I’m sorry for loss. Do we have poor planner emergency to get interpreter? My answer yes. Most poor emergency plan at bossier city Louisiana and second shreveport, Louisiana. If something happen and fail to get accessible interpreter emergency we will battle in court. I don’t know about Baton Rouge and New Orleans Louisiana because I don’t live there.
