Scheder had flighty releases while Seitz had good pirouettes. It was a tough call but Sophie deserved her medal on this one.

Seitz did one pirouette and missed the handstand. She also missed every single handstand, if you watched the video. She had errors on every skill.

How are you catching all these bent arms?!?! Their arms look stick straight to me almost the whole time!

I watch it in slow motion.

Seitz has admitted to sometimes cheat a bit in training by basically just doing it to fast for the coach to notice. But a judges eye sees everything.

Shaposhnikova skills are the most prone to bent arms. Not all the time that a gymnasts has to bend her arms in catching the high bar. I've seen Komova and Spiridonova with straight arms while doing a Van Leeuwen.

The only subjective deductions I can think of where the judges can get away with is on the amplitude, body posture, balance checks and artistry. They can be strict and give 0.3-0.5 and sometimes just deduct 0.1 to Russian and American gymnasts.

R H Yea it doesn’t make it look any nicer though. Honestly I thought the reason she didn’t hit her handstands was because she looked like she was rushing. Her routine was just error after error.

Scheder was the clear winner and I think the score difference should have been much higher
