If you're going to say that we have to take this because its part of the old testament law and apply it directly into our lives as Christians, and tatooing is wrong because of verse 28 here and if thats your stance, then I have no questions. But then, you also have to take ALL of the Old testament laws, including about the Sabbath, about the cutting of your hair , trimming your beard, wearing of tassels on your clothing and lots more. You're gonna need to embrace them all just for you to be biblically consistent, to say " I'm going to interpret the scriptures consistantly applying it into my life directly" YOU HAVE TO DO THAT. But looking to it in context and say how this applied to the ancient Israeli and what's this thats got to do with them and drawing a biblical principle out of it would be better for you as a wise Christian and not handpick the Scriptures to a particular matter.
