I have two of this guy. One I actually bought, the other was in a lot of parts I got. On my main one, I swapped around white pieces with blue pieces and vice versa

What I always hated throughout G1, mostly the latter part of it, was the fact that a lot of the tools and weapons that connected in both ends of a hand never felt like it too much because whenever you took the weapon off, you were essentially taking the weapon apart. Like, many of the Thornax Launchers, most staffs and staff-like weapons, Nuparu's shield, Matoro's claws, Pohatu's propellers technically because he didn't have hands if you took them off - or actually any weapon for that matter that attaches and operates without the presence of a hand - and in 2009 especially, Gelu, Mata Nui (canister), Kiina, Skrall, Vorox, Vastus, and half the agori all were blatant, careless offenders of this.

Samuel Frew No. The launcher pieces (not the Fruit) were squeezed and because it is plastic, it bended a little bit. I also have this issue and I just squeeze it more into the front, near the Thornax Fruit.

What's kind of odd to me about Gelu is that his helmet is seen by a lot of people as feminine for some reason, or at least that's what I could gleam from how many female MOCs I've seen that use said helmet.

I would pick Gelu over Strakk any day. Strakk looks like a brute, while Gelu is just so *elegant* in design. In my opinion the best looking set out of the 2009 lineup, and my favorite Bionicle behind Toa Lewa.

Well thank god the trans-blue part of his sword(s) is a flexible rubber/plastic. I've never gotten this set so I imagined those pieces would probably break super easy, good thing Lego tend to make more good decisions than poor ones.

SunDiegoRussia He retired early from being a gladiator due to the dangers of that line of work to become a caravan guard. He helped the heroes against makuta in the final battle but he wasn't emotionally invested or anything - he just wanted his pay. He's kind of a neutral bystander, but if he had to pick a side I think he would go for good.
