I went with the Engine4 as the sound quality and battery life is better and I know this may sound dumb to some but I prefer to have an option to have a play previous track option while outside rather than manually pulling out my phone each time. Managed to get this for around $33 converted during the 6-6 sale in our country by stacking some vouchers.

just got the Engine 4 a few days ago. sound is really good! bass is strong. though not as good as the 1+ BP2. but close enough. I used the stock tips. the passive NC is really good. and the fit is also really good for me. I just noticed that on multi-connect, if you put them back in the case, it doesn't pause the music or video. they are still on. but when I do single connect & LDAC, it does pause the music. another thing, when I used them on the way to work, apparently the other bud was not charged properly. so it suddenly turned off. I think it has to do with how it is easy to dislodge them from their connectors while inside the case. so you have to make sure that when you put them in the case, they are really connected. If you just need to listen to music. the Engine 4 is a solid choice! got the Engine 4 for around $30 & the BP2 for $114 during September sale. Thanks to Mr. EL JEFE for the solid reviews

I just got the engine 4 today and wow id say for a tws this is the best sound quality I've ever try. It definitely lacks at features but man its worth the price. I wonder if how it will compare with the Moondrop Alice which I've done watching your review couple months ago. I don't much care about features, it feels useless if it didn't sound great. (ps. my daily driver is Moondrop Kato so I kinda curious on how Alice sounds bc they basically have the same driver)

Hi, I have a problem. I bought engine 4 four days ago. At first experience about the product was good, the sound quality is very good really love the bass, tremble etc. But when the first time I did an update firmware on the app (0.1.8 firmware). since then, I experiencing some irregular dropout sound or stutter sound for couple seconds. I thought it was the connection problem only. But when I did a hard reset many times, still there is a dropout sound or stutter sound that keep happening in the middle of listening to music and it's irritating. I think because of the firmware update issues or the product I bought had a factory issues? Please help, thank you.

The Engine 4 are a refinement of that tuning. Not a big upgrade but noticeable in my opinion. The only reason to jump on Mini Pro HS is if you want ANC and transparency modes.

There is a new pair, the Truefree T2 that is around 30 dollars... the package is suspiciously similar to Soundpeats packaging.. these measure very close to Harman with slightly more sub and mid bass.. the bump is right on the edge between sub and mid bass... and then slightly less upper mids and lower treble than the Harman IEM target...might be worth checking out

Another great indepth review 👍. I recently bought the Mini Pro HS and found that they are not for me. The bass is not enough for me (all other sounds is fine). NC compare to no NC has almost no change. The app, I didnt even download, everyone on google store gave it 1 star. The preset controls initially I thought I could live with turns out I cannot, the touch is sensitive so a slight touch either your volumn goes up or music stops. Mine I noticed when I shake the case (with the buds inside lid closed) it connects to my phone, and sometimes it connects by itslef even if its in the case. These are my first soundpeats and am a little dissapointed. I'll keep my eyes out for different brand but its the no stem buds I am looking for sub $100, eyeing out the 1more comfobuds mini right now. I previously had the 1MORE ComfoBuds and they were awsome, NC and bass top notch, but the stem would stick out heaps from my ear and evertime I get change for sports they would get caught and fall out.

"Better" depends on your personal preference. The Engine 4 have much cleaner and more balanced tuning. The Liberty 3 Pro bring much more bass and stronger treble. Two different flavors. Choose what you prefer.

@@ELJefeReviews Since I had both, it was quite comparative between the two, but in audio I chose engine 4, on the other hand, the transparency mode helped me a lot in the mini pro HS... only that it happens twice that in the mini pro HS I get an error of my own in the headphones where for a long time, the audio becomes extremely saturated and impossible to be heard, I don't understand why it happens, I restart several times, my cell phone and headphones and nothing, until after a while they are normal again in audio. Should I report this?, and if so where, the error has come to ruin my user experience

Came back to look at this again and confirm the Engine4 aren't great for sleeping in. Enjoying the sound, just wish they at least had the sensor to stop music when removed (hopefully another app update will do it). Best EQ is making a custom one as the Sounpeats default I find the best of the presets.
