You want Elk? We have a protected herd in the Nw suburbs of Chicago, in Busse Woods, in Elk Grove Village, IL. Fun fact: Busse Woods (part of the Cook County Forest Preserve) receives more annual visitors than Yosemite National Park.

Cliff I was there last Saturday but I was there in the afternoon. I saw two - bull and cow- eating apples in someone's yard along Hicks Run which made for some nice photos.

The wooly bear caterpillar if the rust color is wide it will be a mild winter the wider the black will be severe winter . Beautiful park .

My family and I went up there a few months ago and we went to Winslow Hill and saw nothing but wooly caterpillars we went up this Woodring Farm and saw a few males spent like two hours just watching them
