I'd love to see a test like this with everything else stock to give the average owner real perspective...Because we all started stock...I love love Johns videos...but It would be super cool to see each part on stock to see how it changes and effects the machine...would give everyone a clear picture...

You can flip the stock A-arms to move the tires outward

You "can" flip the rear arms, (fronts won't change) but we highly advise against it, it move them back too far (5" back) and your shock is also crooked, you and will damage axles and only a matter of time before a shock breaks or twists the frame with loads. By doing the arched arms you move the axles to a streight shot and reduce stress more so then stock. You also gain the ability to adjust camber on the SATV arms and the arch gains clearance under them. Well worth it in the long run. You also get rid of the rubber pressed bushing that hinder shock action and they are now greaseable. 👍

Price has many factors, call Hester's Motorsports [phone] Tuesday-Saturdays and they will go over your set up and you pick the stage of shocks, and for tires will depend on the terrain you ride in, wheels up to you on the style you like or brand/model you want. Just give them a call and they will start going over everything.

What is the height change when you add the Elka shocks and Super ATV A-Arms with the 30-inch tires? It's for my garage door clearance. Thanks in advance.

The shocks add +3", the tires will add another 2" for 5" gain, or roughly 15-16" of ground clearance, More than a KRX or RZR on 32's! And you gain 50% more wheel travel and a race grade shock for massive off-road improvements.

Awesome build! I've seen you install both the High Lifter, and Super ATV arched A-arms on the fxt's. What are the biggest differences, pros/ cons between the two, and do you think either of them work better with your Elka shocks to get that killer flex and ground clearance?

Thank you for watching. Both are close products. SATV is a 1.5" off set HL is 2" so they can fit little bigger tires. SATV has camber adjustable arms, HL does not but neither really need it, its set really well. I do like the "Z" bend on the HD tie rod kit on the SATV and we are trying to get them to sell it seperate to offer to HL owners. Tbey are the same price BUT SATV comes with UHMW bushings and you have to buy bushing to put into the HL arms, we use SATV bushing kit in the HL arms. You can't go wrong with either ones honestly. @@HesterEdition Very cool thanks for the info, and as far as the actual "lift kits" are concerned, (the kind that you would usually run with the arched A-arms to gain maximum lift), it sounds like your new shocks pretty much take away the need for them with their adjust-ability, is that basically whats going on there?

30's are a good spot, 31's "may" rub under full compression, alot depend on the tires, some 31's are closer to 30's so good to look at tire spec.

Does the stage 1 or 2 elka shock increase your wheel travel? Did you measure before and after wheel travel?

Sorry for delays, KZbin does not give us all the notifications and I saw your comment while answering another. To answer your question no Elka's shocks are stock length. Our Hester Edition Elkas are our design, partnered and built the the BEST! Elka! Our shocksand a lot bigger in every way, they gain 3" of lift (out of the box) adjustable from 2"-4" of lift with pre-load (3" the sweet spot) and gains 50% more wheel travel, 4" more! So you have 12" of wheel travel with our Hester Edition shocks. They are exclusive through us and have to contact us to get them built for you :)

You only get the extra travel because you unhooked the sway bar.

@@brianchoate8675There are no sway bars on the mules, travel comes from the shocks. For a vehicle with a sway bar, you gain more articulation w/o the sway bar, travel is still always there. We gain travel because the shocks are longer with more stroke, on the mule shown above, the shocks gain +3" of lift and +4" (50%) gain in travel, this IS a long travel, lift and improve load capabilities all in 1 item, our shocks :)

Was thinking of getting these for my teryx4 do I need to run limiting straps?

Not required with the elkas. We recommend straps if racing or if running big portals and big tires just for the weight. We have our HE Elkas for the Teryx too. 5 stages, all longer then stock to gain lift and increase travel, not the same shocks off of elkas sight, exclusive set up from us.
