The government now (last 3 months) disallows Hybrid system of current is what I have been informed by a Solar engineer expert at Chennai. The reason is when the government cuts the current outside, net metering should not send this current back to grid as it could give a shock to the technician working on the line. Also, such hybrid systems are switched off by EB as they are against the EB rules. Please clarify / comment. If so, no one can have hybrid. You can have on grid or off grid only.

Guys 5 KW invertor is not enough for power up all the loads at the same time. Please show more technical details on wiring between battery -> invertor -> loads or he is using DC 200 V supply from solar panel directly for DC loads because invertor ACs, water heaters, computers, TVs works with DC.

Remember, He said he's using it only for 4 months.. Here after only real game starts. That's MAINTENANCE. After, every 2 years, he needs to change the battery. Inventor and other electrical items also needs frequent maintenance. I own a simple backup at home for the past 8 - 10 yrs approximately. I changed 3 battery so far and each one costed ~10 - 12 k and many a times did service for my invertor.. Just incase if he starts spending money for maintenance, it will be very huge..

Are you using LIFEPO4 Battery for your inverter? This video shows 5kw solar panel, 5kw hybrid Inverter with 10kw LIFEPO4 Battery setup. I think Hybrid inverter is handling full load from solar alone during day time. Hence battery will only be used after 5pm I think.

The cost of making solar panels and batteries emits more carbon into atmosphere than burning fissile fuel , I would suggest those who have duplex type houe or own land prefer combine solar with wind mill so that you can help reducing the carbon foot print on renewable energy. Many counties prefer switching to wind mill than solar because the power production in wind mill is higher than solar. Kudos to the family for moving to renewable energy

Windmill has lot of movable parts and is of much higher maintenance compared to solar. Also the initial erection cost is a costlier and there are safety concerns also. I am from Kanyakumari where we get very good windflow but unfortunately in the last 10 years not a single wind turbine company has been successful in giving a good product.

Wind energy market in India is immature. The best windmills are at France and they are priced 5 times higher when you import. Omni directional wind capture, with safety on cyclonic winds and ability to capture even small wind movements are best. Please research market a little deeper on cost vs value before proposal. Cost is the main ingredient at India.
