i think, Ella's approach is like a mother who's gentle and loving, Jony J's is somewhat like a father, strict and serious. Lisa's mentoring is harsh and strict, because she knows what it felt like to be in their position, to be trainee. Kun's approach is to be sweet and soft so that the others can lean on to him, he's also been their before, a trainee on a survival show. They balance each other's approach on mentoring, there is no need to hate on one of them, they're just doing what a good mentor should do.

For those who didn't know s.h.e is a legendary girl group with 20 years of experience. They got so much harsh criticism at first because they were out of tune and there were no actual proper training to guide them. Then there were the accidents (Selina's explosion accident BURNT her for 50% of her body, Ella has been injured multiple times... ) basically all the members of s.h.e went through so much shit, being bashed for having shit vocals or Ella's tomboyish appearance gets picked on a lot. Of course Ella would be more motherly and gentle. Her experience in the vast and hard 20 years of mandopop makes her qualified to tell the aspiring idols to be more resilient and never give up just because of one mistake. No one was as encouraging and gentle to her decades ago, now it's her turn to give strength to the kids.
@simoart24464 жыл бұрын
This is exactly why Ella was invited to this show as a mentor while not having the best vocal in the industry. Apart from giving vocal advice, she gives LIFE advice as well. She knows how things work in the industry and is a winner in life as well.

Each mentor has a different approach of teaching and giving advice. Why people only attack lisa because she's strict? Rather than strict, she's more serious on doing her job. How about jony j? Did you see his some comments during the initial evaluation about the rapper trainees? Isn't him and lisa are almost the same? So why attack only lisa? Just like what Jony J, when it comes to rap during the initial evaluation his becoming more serious. And Lisa is also like that, when it comes to dancing she's serious. I think those antis only watch clips not the whole episodes. Mentors are like the same as teachers. Some are gentle, some are kind, some are harsh and some are strict and straight to the point Ps: I'm not referring to the cfans but to other kpop fans who keep saying rude comments and mocking lisa in some other video clips and in Twitter. Search for it on Twitter and you will see

Uhmm there's no one that's attacking her
@maeli244 жыл бұрын
no one is really attacking lisa, they (c-fans) are actually admiring her strictness. it’s a fresh image for her, but also displays how dedicated she is to her job. they love that despite her bubbly personality, she takes everything seriously and is there to be a mentor, not as a celebrity. jony j is different from her. rappers are viewed to be aggressive, straightforward, etc. so his strictness is already “foreseen.” but also, i don’t think the show has shown any clips of him being a harsh critique of the girls, he’s actually encouraging and genuinely helps them. i’m not a fan, but honestly, comparing them is unnecessary.

Ella really is an amazing mentor for these girls. She came in to the music industry 20 years ago, through a singing competition, was put in to a group with 2 other girls. If I remember correctly, they were known to sing out of tune live a lot during their first year, because at the time, there wasn't any sort of training system, but all the girls could sing well and improved throughout the years. Ella in particular was met with a lot of criticism and got made fun of for her tomboyish appearance and loud personality and people would question her sexual orientation or gender because of it. but she would often brush off the comment, stood up for herself, and didn't change herself to appease the audience. Obviously, over the years, she seems to have shed that tomboyish appearance, but that was by her own choice, her personality is still there. Plus she is just an all-around entertainer, knew how to lighten up the mood and make people laugh. So if there's anyone who knows what its like to work in this industry and deal with the "Psychological side" it would be her. She's seen it all and knows how to conquer it :)

Also we can see the different of their experience in Ent. Industry. For Lisa & Kun is the best for this era. Yes, Lisa strict is just like only 10% of strict than the real choreographer since I do have experience as dancer too before. I love that she still shows you how do the right move & give it more a liveable performance. If I'm at her position too, I'm might blow up shouting cursing to someone who keeps doing repeat mistakes. Ella is really good at comforting the girls because she went through a couple of dark periods herself. Aside from the incident she mentioned, there was more. In S.H.E, she often seen as the responsible one, the spokeswoman and one who lighten up the situation. Unlike Hebe & Selina who host occasionally when they are having breaks, Ella struggled with hosting, singing and acting together and often has a tighter schedule than the other two. Before Selina’s incident in 2010, there was Ella’s fall from 3 floor height which resulted in a 6 months rest for her in 2003. She struggled then also in fear that fans will forget her and immediately went in full time to resume work with her back injury after the doctor’s imposed 6 months rest in 2004. That resulted her to bear the body pains, lack of rest and non-stop working schedule caused her to have a few public breakdowns and media started writing about her having depression. It was a period she hardly talk about but it was also a period she said was only made possible with Selina and Hebe encouraging her. So she now feels strongly about encouraging people as she knows how hard it can be for oneself.

hi thanks for the SHE background Ive watched an interview where Ella broke down and hit herself with a mic before :( however im not a chinese speaker so i didnt understand any of it may i ask why u said she struggled with hosting/acting/singing? did she struggle to get these projects? or were you referring to her juggling her time between these gigs I remember her also crying during their 2006 concert because she was juggling both Hana Kimi and their preparation for their Moving Castle Concert Now that I think about it, I think there’s also an overlap between the filming of her series Down with Love and their SHERO album promotion / concert And I think during their first 5 years, they were sometimes releasing 2-3 albums in a year They were really overworked back then ☹️
