The idea that we live in a time now where not having any online presence makes you unusual and less "real" is truly insane. I get that there can be dangerous people out there, but plenty of people also just truly view social media as toxic and want to distance from it as much as possible. Frankly its actually a growing sentiment lately. It really shouldn't be an inherent "red flag". Just ridiculous that people think this way now. The internet really needs to implode at some point.

You know, I definitely stopped calling my mom "mommy" pretty early in life. I think I was still in middle school, maybe even elementary school, when she became 'mom'. But when she got older and I started having to take care of things for her, she became 'momma', but it was more like a nick name than the plaintive way children call out for 'mommy'. A similar thing has happened with my father. He was 'dad' for almost my whole life, but in his sixties, he's become 'pappa'.
@Trip4man27 күн бұрын
Nothing wrong with that! Means you have good parents man. There's a lottttttttt of people who don't have that type of relationship with their parents. A LOT! The MOST important people in your life are your parents!!! Because other people have NO "attachment" to you.... They can be your friends yeah, but they don't have that "blood obligation".... In other words, parents will ALWAYS be there for you. If they're good parents that is.... Friends can come and go. She's a British skank.... They only have 2 types really. You got the classy ones or you get the drinking, partying, snob, narcissistic, posh lunatics. Then they come out into the world... And you know, pretend to be professional and cordial.
