sie wurde zur Vorbereitung auf dieses Spiel von Barbara Rittner betreut. Kein Wunder hat sie so krachend verloren. Dazu hat Sabalenka auch für ihre Verhältnisse gut gespielt und keinerlei Anlaufschwierigkeiten gehabt.

Absolutely a dominant and commanding beginning from the reigning champion Aryna Sabalenka. She had a huge mastery throughout the whole showdown. I am certain that Sabalenka will be assertive along with the title of the last year.

When you face a power player, you either absorb/redirect or play counter-punch. Seidel played like it was a match on clay, trying to stay in the rallies from 1,5-2m behind the base line. Does she have a trainer at all?! Also, a lot of Sabalenka's shorter balls were just played back through the middle, no angles, no nothing. She needs to diversify her play, not only pusher style clay play.
