We have lost our way, we have forgotten our heritage, our culture, our beliefs. This is why we are so lost. We have lost our roots. Come back to them, our ancestors, our lands, come back to where we belong. I am proud that I have reconnected to my heritage. Celtic and Norse.

@@con3594 And your point? It's still a celtic voice singing it. Plus I'm also Anglo Saxon and germanic-scandanavian. Almost all of Anglo Saxon and celtic come from germanic tribes. So that didn't really disprove or shoot down anything.

Thank you for recording this. It's so hard to find Scots versions, as most are Irish. My Grandmother was from Balloch and always sung this to us as kids. After she had a stroke she was bed ridden for three years and couldn't speak. But i would whisper the first line in her ear and she could sing the whole song right through. She died in 1994. Now it's 2022 and I'm looking after Mum who has late stage Alzheimer's. I've driven her up to Scotland and Loch Lomond three times in the last 12 months, and it's such a very special place. Playing this song to Mum, and seeing her sing along brings tears to my eyes. Chokes me up. Thank you for your beautiful rendition.

Your voice is ethereal ... you are in a genre that touches the deepest part of us. Don't ever stop. Oh, Danny boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling From glen to glen, and down the mountain side. The summer's gone, and all the roses falling, It's you, it's you must go and I must bide. But come ye back when summer's in the meadow, Or when the valley's hushed and white with snow, It's I'll be here in sunshine or in shadow, Oh, Danny boy, oh Danny boy, I love you so! But when ye come, and all the flowers are dying, If I am dead, as dead I well may be, You'll come and find the place where I am lying, And kneel and say an Ave there for me. And I shall hear, though soft you tread above me, And all my grave will warmer, sweeter be, For you will bend and tell me that you love me, And I shall sleep in peace until you come to me! Someone had to write the lyrics…

Death is death, despite you were too young when it happened. It's harder when your love left you behind to go along with another guy and left you alone and took your money!

She has the voice of an angel! A branch of my family line came from Ireland. Sadly, I have never been able to visit, and at age 79, I may never do so.

Thank you for this song. My wife passed away a little over 2 years ago, and I like to think she is watching down over me.

Another beautiful memory for this old man. I don't know when I first heard this song. It is tearful song of longing. Ella if angels do sing one of them sounds like you. The cinematography is incredible and creative. God Bless, be safe and happy

Ella, I truly wanted to tell myself off for not having shed tears even though I listened to you sing Danny Boy so beautifully several times in succession. I really could not help but hate myself for being such a heartless man.
