Sofia's films are not for everyone... it's like modern art, you have to watch, understand and appreciate... and in a show business full of superheros, super budgets, super promo campaign, marketing and evertything I just loved to spend one hour and half in Sofia's mind, her point of view, her reality. I watched all of her movies, enjoyed all of them... can't wait for the next one

she's a film stylist, not a filmmaker. the original beguiled was a daring film. the remake was sanitized. sophia has nothing to say, she just makes pretty pictures.

LOVE ELLE, I WOULD WATCH ANYTHING WITH HER, BUT THE ORIGINAL WAS BETTER THAN THIS ONE. THE GUY ONLY HAD ONE OUTBURST OF ANGER OVER HIS LEG.....UNDERSTANDABLY SO....AND HE GETS KILLED REALLY QUICK........IT WAS THE WOMEN COMING ON TO HIM THAT MADE A MESS OF EVERYTHING....NOT SO MUCH THE GUY. IN EASTWOOD'S VERSION HE WAS CLEARLY MANIPULATING THE WOMEN AND BEING DECEPTIVE, SO HIS DEATH WAS "UNDERSTANDABLE " BUT IN THE NEW VERSION IT SEEMED LIKE THE WOMEN MADE A RUSHED, LAZY DECISION!!!
