My mom’s spinach scalloped potatoes:
- Cut potatoes thin
- Oil the container
- Mix cream and milk or use half and half
- Then do a layer of potatoes then cream mixture then a bit of cut garlic and salt
- Then spinach then cream and garlic then potatoes etc
- You put cream on top a bit of grated cheese and top with oiled foil
- Cook 400 for 45 minutes
- Remove foil
- Increase a bit to make crust
- Enjoy 😋

So sorry for your experience. I ended up taking a senior citizen water aerobics class because there were no resources for me. I quickly became the darling of the class and had all of these 65+ moms/grandmothers supporting and loving me through my pregnancy. It was a blessing because all of my support system was in the South and we had just moved to the East coast. I hope that you find what you need. I feel you, Elle.

Absolutely. It was a senior citizen class and I just showed up and kindly explained that I needed to do something to move and get out of the house. There was nothing taxing about it and my joints felt great in the water. I ran and lifted through most of my pregnancy but at some point you need to slow down and it was a great fit.

Yes the senior center aqua fit classes were amazing. I was in my late 20s and took their classes for physical therapy and they were beyond accommodating to me. We had a few pregnant ladies join in as well. Great suggestion!

Congratulations Elle! Motherhood is indescribable in the best ways and the hardest ways. I love the stroller you selected. I have a tip that I recently saw at a theme park. Hang onto the bassinet and use it as a cart to carry all of the stuff to such events when she’s older. I can definitely understand your feelings of disappointment after your yoga experience, it’s totally valid! I had my daughter in April 2020 so as you can imagine the whole first year of her life felt a lot like that to me, lonely in motherhood but also soaking it all up in a way I know I likely won’t get to again. I don’t know how much you want to invest your time but don’t be afraid to start something simple yourself! If you are looking there are probably lots of other local mothers searching for the same thing and coming up empty! Local businesses might be very up to hosting a group of some kind. Either way I hope you find something that helps bring some sense of that vision to life!

Fit4mom is a national fitness club for pre and postnatal women. I did it through both of my pregnancies in two different states and have such fond memories of those experiences. Hopefully you find something like that close to you- I’m sure they are in your state as well and they have continued throughout the pandemic. You are going to be the best mom and I can’t wait to see the beautiful experiences you will have!

A long term viewer here I'm so happy for you! I feel your pain! You might be able to find mothers to be at antenatal classes in your area and your partner can also attend and meet other future dads. I know its not physical but i made most of my mom friends at antenatal classes and then the baby sensory classes (you can take them to once they are 3 or 4 months and up). There's also a lovely app called Peanut where you can meet local mums to be (with similar due dates) in your area. I have a 7 month old baby girl who was born in early January. It was a bit stressful for us over Christmas but all turned out beautiful in the end. All the lovely times with family during the holidays makes your body produce a lot oxytocin - which really encourages a lovely birth experience! Big hugs, your mum friend from London Mercedes xx

Hi Elle! Congratulations on the pregnancy ❤️ i have the uppababy and I LOVE IT. There’s a coffee cup attachment and a stroller pouch u attach on the handles that can be really useful! I had also bought a bag clip that attaches on the handle bar from amazon to clip my bag on it 😊 u made a great choice! And I would recommend the yoyo stroller as it is cabin approved so makes traveling soooo easy, and as the bebe grows older it will be much more convenient to use the lightweight yoyo 😘🙏🏻
