The best thing she can do is keep that reality in mind and know how to read different types of people and deal with them accordingly. She obviously evades unnecessary heat. Also, guests are not children. They can decide whether or not they wanna deal with Ellen beforehand. And that alleged backstage deal has nothing to do with anything on the screen. People become mad after hearing that, and start to think Ellen is just this evil witch who's been terrorizing her guests in hatred the whole time. That's far too silly.
