+gnosticcarebear i hope i'm replying correctly, cuz i don't see any "Reply" hyperlink...stupid new youtube -.- anywho..i agree with you that ellen page should have won, but if i'm not mistaken, the voting process is done by the nominees' peers; i've understood that fellow actors join the screen actor's guild and have to buy into voting. again, if i'm correct and this is in fact how the voting process works, then it's not all that surprising that ellen didn't win because this was pretty much her breakout role (in hollywood anyways, cause she did several canadian films beforehand), and so she probably hasn't garnered the amount of peers (or at least powerful ones) compared to the others
