Ellen White and Not One in 20/100/1000

Hi brother I have a few questions to the issue of the dressreform. I'm from Denmark and I've always thought it was about sensuality and exaggeration. My wife is from the Middle east where men wearing dresses and women trousers. Why should she not were trousers? And were in Bible and SOP do you find the link between women in trousers and homosexuality? I'm trying to understand . Anyway like you I also am sad about the church leaving the True God and His only begotten Son... and al the other kind of apostasy which followed. Love from Denmark.

The bible says women are not to wear men’s clothes. Men’s pants are different than women’s and as long as the pants are not tight and keep you warm and modest and comfortable and are obviously women’s pants then I personally see no sin. In Christs day the men wore robes and still do in some countries to this day. In the culture of the U.S.A. Or Canada to wear robes would draw much attention and criticism. I have seen women here in Canada that cut their hair like a man and wear men’s clothes and in my opinion, I use the words butchy because they look very masculine and actually quite ugly, not trying to be mean, just stating an opinion. I believe Ellen White was speaking about what we see today with the men of LGBTQ, etc., that are wearing dresses high heels make up earrings, lipstick wigs etc., and likewise, the women wearing men’s clothing, chopped off hair, chains, army boots, etc. I don’t believe we have to dress as women as Ellen White did in her day with the long dresses and braided hair like so many offshoot Adventists do. That also draws attention to themselves as odd . For a woman to wear a pair of pants is appropriate in most situations like working and gardening around the home and especially in the winter weather to keep your limbs warm and even to wear a clean, neat pair of pants and a nice top to church. I do not believe is a sin against God. I believe we have to find a balance and it is between yourself and God . we have to be careful to not become extreme or fanatical, but you pray to God for his guidance in these issues. too many people I know make women wearing a nice pair of pants a salvation issue. I have even been told that I will not be saved if I wear a pair of ladies pants. I would never wear men’s pants ever. The Bible says women are not to wear men’s pants does not mean that women’s pants cannot be worn and in the day it was spoken Women probably didn’t wear any pants just dresses. Where I live in Canada dresses are not appropriate in the cold weather and even in the summer with high winds when the dress flys and exposes much more than a pair of pants would. I tried gardening in a dress, and it ended up around my ears, or it dragged under my knees, went on the ground weeding.

Hello brother; I think these verses will help to see. Job 38:3 “Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou me.” and God even repeats this again Job 40:7 “Gird up thy loins now like a man: I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me.” You see in the Bible men had something like a belt which you could tie to hence girding up their robes to make a kind of pants. They were to wear shorts so to speak underneath(lev 6:10 etc) as well, but to see the shorts was still considered nakedness... Exodus 28: 42 And thou shalt make them linen breeches to cover their nakedness; from the loins even unto the thighs they shall reach: Now only the priest could go up to the altar. This may be contrary to what we have previously thought but I’ll show that shortly, but first recognize this next verse as a priest who has shorts on is still considered naked. Exodus 20:26 “Neither shalt thou go up by steps unto mine altar, that thy nakedness be not discovered thereon.” Ok now to prove this is a priest and not the person bringing a sin offering to the alter. Leviticus 4:27-29 And if any one of the common people sin through ignorance, while he doeth somewhat against any of the commandments of the LORD concerning things which ought not to be done, and be guilty; Or if his sin, which he hath sinned, come to his knowledge: then he shall bring his offering, a kid of the goats, a female without blemish, for his sin which he hath sinned. And he shall lay his hand upon the head of the sin offering, and slay the sin offering IN THE PLACE OF THE BURNT OFFERING. So now seeing this we need to find where the burnt offering was killed. Leviticus 1:1-4 And the LORD called unto Moses, and spake unto him out of the tabernacle of the congregation, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, If any man of you bring an offering unto the LORD, ye shall bring your offering of the cattle, even of the herd, and of the flock. If his offering be a burnt sacrifice of the herd, let him offer a male without blemish: he shall offer it of his own voluntary will AT THE DOOR OF THE TABERNACLE OF THE CONGREGATION before the LORD. And he shall put his hand upon the head of the burnt offering; and it shall be accepted for him to make atonement for him. We see in the Bible that men were to gird up their loins and that was distinctly different then a woman as the 2 verses in Job indicate. We also see that shorts for men are nakedness as well so when we think of how high their robes were girt, it would not be anywhere near where pictures of today show… Now here is an interesting article on EGW and many of the comments she made and the history that goes with it. www.remnantraiment.com/subpages/history.htm I may actually do a video on this… Even one specifically for women. It seems to me to get super interesting! I do one for men but the sound and video is not really good. But those searching for truth may find it valuable. It seems kind of confusing but something we need to remember when we think about the time period of the Jewish people and the pictures we see or how they describe what they were wearing at that time, is the same as in our day. They wrote about fashion and not what the faithful were wearing... As for the quote about leading to homosexuality, I cannot remember the exact wording but if you looked up the word sodom and read every quote you will probably find it. To many things to keep when for me it is just understandable. There have been a few times I have seen someone from a slight distance and thought they were attractive. Then getting closer I realized that the person I thought was a woman was actually a man... But there is a spiritual condentation I think that reflects this better and I will not write it but I will bring it out openly someday.

@@matthewbergsma7647 I understans what you are saying and the message from the link. I do agree that Bible teach that men should not wear women clothes and vice versa. What I have a little problem with is that mens and womans clothes are cultural. Somehow it reminds me of the Judaizers who want us all to behave and live like jews. Arab women wear culturally trousers and men wear robes. Do you think they are in sin? Also in our culture women have been using trousers. I believe in dressreform but perhaps I'm a bit naive thinking that all these issues change with the new birth and the growing. Brotherly love from Denmark

Pray about it, and God will enlighten you. White said that women should wear trousers underneath dresses to keep their limbs warm and not injure their health during the cold weather.

Thank you for posting this, I am a new subscriber, I am VERY worried that my habit of smoking cigarettes will keep me from heaven and walking and worshiping my GOD one day at HIS feet! I have stopped a few times, I can honestly say it is easier said than done, I dont know what to do to stop and stay stopped!!!!! I am REALLY worried about it!

I fully understand as I smoke for 13 years myself too. I would stand anywhere people would see me smoking at church hoping that they would pray for me but knowing many may be condemning me. For sure you cannot enter the gaits not being free, this you know as well as I did back then and I was not even a Seventh Day Adventist. I was Pentecostal back then although I really attended a few other denominations as well as I was so hungry for truth. What got me to quite was a promise I was tricked into. I would never break a promise and hence I had to quite when I really did not even want to quit. I loved smoking and to this day I still like the smell of cigaret smoke. What I had to do was take time off of work and lock myself in my home without cigarettes for 5 days. That was 5 days of hell, I was crawling around on the floor and quite out of my mind. I had no place to go except to God, but it was a battle. For the first days it was like l was drunk and could not even walk straight and my mind swam crazily. But even in that Chaos God was there watching me.I did not have any extra help from God like some do where all cravings are taken away. I had no relief because God expects us to do for ourselves what is within our own power to do. That is dying to self! I picked up my cross that day on that subject and suffered, but I know that my suffering is nothing like the suffering Christ did for me so that I could be free from the bondage of smoking! After those 5 days of pure torture the worse was over and I was resolved never ever to smoke again because the agony was so great. And today as I look back I also understand that if I were to smoke again it would be like crucifying Him afresh... I will pray for you as it is a very serious thing. Remember God is good and He rebukes and chastens those he loves. If you are like me you will feel the "scourge of chords": John 2:15 “And when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers' money, and overthrew the tables;” You are the temple of God and God wants all the unclean things out of your life.

It is not easy. I tried dozens of times. The Saturday i was going to be baptized, God gave me the power the smoke that morning my last cigarette and drank my last glass of wine. Never again. You can not quit smoking as I could not. The power comes from God. Ask Him everyday for the want to quit smoking and the power to do it. Philippians 2:13 KJV - For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. I have no doubt you will be victorious.

@14:55, with regard to this verse, men didn’t wear pants at the time. They were wearing robes. No pants, but robes. So why have they changed ? Why aren’t men wearing robes now ?
