I’ve been painting and drawing since a very early age, I started with oils. About 30 years ago I discovered watercolor and I was hooked. . How I wish there had been someone like you to show me the way , l had to teach myself by trial and error. There was no internet . I know that there are more sophisticated paintings we could be doing but, no. I love these! Perhaps when I e done a thousand of this type of stuff I’ll want and be ready for more sophisticated stuff. But my heart and eyes will always love the simple, pure innocence of non sophisticated art. It, in itself is very sophisticated. I always gravitate to this style no matter what medium. You're my go-to fave watercolorist on You Tube as well. I just watched these bear tutorials this morning. I've never done gouache before and I wondered if you could go light over dark but in another video you cleared that up and said, no you can't. Good to know as I didn't! I always thought you had to put masking fluid over anything you wanted white and it just seems more work than I'd like for my style. Learning so much from you!!!
