The incredible ear and musical ability are unsurpassed but what gets me is how such tiny hands can execute so much strength as well as the span between frets to be able to play these difficult bass passages. The instruments are full scale basses that adults play which is no less than mind-boggling how she navigates the fretboard so easily. It's the equivalent of an adult bassist playing a fretboard that's 15' long and 6" wide. This amazing little girl is destined to be one of the best in the world and in a very short time. Dad is an incredible talent as well and a wonderful teacher. Focused and disciplined but fun and loving at the same time. It really depends when you talk with him. I remember him from way back in Godforsaken Buffalo in his Talas days and hung out with him many times. Some days he's be totally chill as you mentioned, other days he was a complete jerk you just needed to avoid. I remember after gigs, he'd just throw his bass in the back of his van and close it up then head back inside. When I say throw, I mean it literally as in no case, just open the back and toss it in. His knowledge of the bass and his skills were and are amazing. I think what he's done for upcoming bassists needs to be celebrated for what he's given back to music.

You are so beautiful, simple and charismatic, I am very grateful that you shared this with everyone, it is great to see young people taking an interest in such a difficult instrument to play, enjoying classic rock and being recognized by musicians from their favorite bands. I particularly like the basses on some of Jean Luc Ponty's albums, a very talented French progressive jazz musician, and of course Stanley Clark, who I saw playing in New York in 1983 with the musical group Return To Forever. I wish that God's blessings always reach you and your family who encourage and help you share your talent with all of us! Always keep smiling and happy! With all due respect, I love you! I too was blessed with the gift of music at an early age. The ability to hear notes and replicate. Your blessing is lightyears of where I"m not now some 50+ years later . . . and I'm very okay with that :) I love to see young folk, such as yourself, be able to express yourselves musically at such a high level. It gives me great joy and hope for humanity. Much credit to your father for also being a great musician and huge supporter of you! Keep up with the great works and I hope you never lose your passion!

Go to classic metal, and give it a try!! Metal is a very varied genre; not just some few extremes! Mostly Not like the stupid, clueless, ignorant and hateful prejudices!! It’s very varied! Give iron maiden try they are the best band for me, and one of the best musicians generally for me; not just metal! Pop mostly is hackneyed, boring and repetitive!! And it’s just a shitty one man show mostly!

@@osamaqtaitat I understand. I've been teaching guitar since 1982 so I'm very aware of what Metal is and how it has evolved over the years. My sons love Dream Theater. Is that Metal? I don't care for it much. Iron Maiden - just listened to Wasted Years, Run To The Hills, The Trooper, Stranger In A Strange Land, the vocals are awesome but the only thing I don't like is the wide vibrato of the singers. That turns me off for some reason, and the whole overall vibe is just not for me. I've studied voice for years, and even studied opera, which is not for me either, so I understand what a good voice sounds like. These guys in Iron Maiden have good voices no doubt. Sorry that I don't love it like you do. I started listening to music just after I was born but really started paying attention about 1964. 1969 was the first year that I picked up a guitar but still metal is not really my thing. I used to listen to Black Sabbath back in the 70's but after I while I realized that Ozzy is just too monotone for me. Also, the lyric subject matter of most metal doesn't usually appeal to me. The lyrics have to mean something to me. I don't care how awesome the music seems to be. My favorite composers are George Gershwin, Beethoven, and Bach. I play hymns on the organ in church. They are a good study into good voice leading. Guitar is simpler for me. Not much blues, a little classical, mostly folk music, a little jazz... stuff people like to listen and relate to. You can visit my channel and see what I teach there. I do have a little ACDC and Led Zeppelin on the channel. I can't remember for the moment what else I have posted there that is more heavy. When my students want to study metal I teach it to them, no problem. Hey, thanks for the comment on my comment. Hal Stead

Great job!!! I don't understand how anyone could give this a thumbs down. This girl is great. I started playing guitar when I was 12. I was around 15 before I could play on her level.

I don't understand why he hires second rate bassists when Ellen is so good. Don't get mad folks I'm kidding. (Except for the part about Ellen being so good.)

I was amazed at your skill playing the baseline in Hysteria, even bass players in reaction videos were very impressed. Me, I was concerned your fingers didn't bleed after. After watching this video, I see many of the base lines exceed Hysteria. Your talent is amazing.
