As for the bass, it sounds way better than the price would lead you to believe. Love that bass clef shirt on the doctor!! LOL! Dad almost caught a shot in the face at the end there! Funny story. I got my first guitar from a neighbor who gave it to me on Independence Day. I was holding it sitting next to his father when someone shot off a really loud firework in the back yard. I jumped and the guitar headstock hit the dad in the mouth and chipped his tooth!! That was probably around 1970 when I was around 10 years old! Thanks for popping that memory into my head. Hey, Ellen ... Even though I am old enough to be your grandfather (or great grandfather maybe), I still admire the progress you make day by day. You just keep getting better and better. Today, on this base, you did something that I have been waiting for ... you played every single note perfectly in tune! I have noticed that on basses with a long neck, it is hard for you to reach or the distance you have to move you left hand is too far to play so fast. So, then the note you play is close, but not always "spot on" and in tune. Today was it was a thrill to listen to you to play. You are really getting up to speed. You might even want to stick with something close to this size for a while. Congratulataions on a magnificent job. "Grandpa John" Big hugs from me.
