I have never had an issue with my cats leaving them to themselves for a couple days! As long as they have food, water, and a couple litter boxes they are dandy!! Of course I always have a friend come check on them but still! People are silly, cats are not like dogs, they are way more independent. You are too adorable ;)

+Rachel Hardin I do the same thing, too. Another thing that differentiates cats from dogs is that cats don't have to be locked up when you leave them home alone. I refuse to get a dog, even just a miniature one, because I'd hate to have to leave them locked in a kennel for several hours at a time.

My family has had cats for years and we've always left them at home without a babysitter when we're out of town. We just leave plenty of food and water and a couple litter boxes out for them and they're perfectly fine! If were gone for much longer, we usually just have someone check up on them every other day or something. So if anything, it's odd to me when people take their cats with them or if they get babysitters for them haha. xD It's weird how anyone would give someone hate on leaving their cat with a sitter.....

I've never had a good experience flying with Delta in the 4-5 times I have flown with them. I've flown southwest since my last bad experience not only with the flight delays and miscommunications in general, but also bad customer service. One time my day of travels left a flight delayed and 30 mins to get from one gate to another (opposite side of airport), and the flight not only boarded but left 8 mins early, and Delta would only pay for half of the hotel stay that night, and my baggage wouldn't be returned. So I stayed at a hotel with no toiletries or pajamas or fresh clothes, and had to pay out of pocket for their mistake.

Not a criticism, just wondering why both cats didn't go or stay? I now have 5 & although I have a pretty big house I really was going to stop at #4, but my daughter brought home a very lovable cat that had been abandoned. I used to get a cat sitter who would stay at my house, sleep at my house. She loved animals so my kitties could sleep with her, just like they were used to with me. Well being from the same town she is, our airport is small, so large flights rarely come in. It is very common around here that when you fly you have to take a connecting flight in order to get where you're going! :)
