When I first heard Ellie I loved her songs and I wanted to admire her but I thought that she was too good looking to also be nice. I cannot explain why I was so cynical. Later on I expected her to be a Brexiter and when I found out she wasn't I was shaken but then there was a great feeling of triumph because I realised that the good part my heart had been utterly right and had seen how lovely she is straight away. There's this learning experience in life where I learn and have to keep relearning that my pre-judgment is often very poor. It's odd that it can be both excellent and terrible at the same time and I don't know which side to listen to, but it's always best to listen to the kind, hopeful side because it's what makes you proud later.
