I’ve been looking forward to this movie for over A YEAR and definitely had high expectations because ALICE WU. And let me tell you… it does not disappoint. Everything about it was incredible. The acting, the plot, the songs, the wardrobe, the choice of shots, everything. How everything was interconnected. How all the small things going on in a camera shot felt intentional and brought out even more meaning to it all.
Anyways if you haven’t seen the movie yet, I highly recommend you do so. (I’ve watched it three time through already lol.) I honestly think this might be my favorite movie ever.

I had to watch it twice to realize that Aster had been all the time into Allie, I am not sure if it was so done intentionally to make you believe that was only on Allie side because it was placed everywhere but in such a subtle way.

I definitely think it was intentional! Even though we got scenes from Aster and Paul, I believe it’s mostly Ellie’s story, which is why it’s more clearly established that Ellie likes Aster, but we only get subtle hints about Aster liking Ellie. And Ellie may not believe that someone like Aster would like her and thus is in denial about any signs, which could be another reason it’s more subtle. So many cool things to notice with rewatching :)

I’ve been seeing an infinite number of Ellie and aster fan vids since I saw the movie and I have to say this by far is the best one I’ve seen. The transitions the audio used at the perfect places it’s just pure 👌 perfection 👌 my dude!!! My favorite part is the end I was hoping you would do that “best part” sequence and my god it was 👌 perfect 👌

Great video and sound editing. You've combined my two current favorite A/V works -- The Half of It by Alice Wu and Kina Grannis' Can't Help Falling in Love -- and captured the best scenes, visuals and words -- and put them together, with the song, into a cohesive, salient and aesthetically pleasing video. The editing is so soft and smooth... and that silent pause... just takes your breath away. The video and song just mesh... like Ellie and Aster.
