I love how they give grog everything. The dumbest person in the party has the best system of identification and keeping up with things. He can't count but he's not gonna lose a single one of those 185 bullets in the entire series.

The fact that people later officially refer to Grog as Grand Poobah means that Percy had to go to the effort of walking down to some kind of clerical office and filing official paperwork to ensure that people knew Grog had this title and thst just makes this funnier.

@@HozukiHangetsu Well yes and no. Technically speaking Pluto was the direct counterpart to the Greek Hades. However it was common for the names of underworld lords to become synonymous with the place itself. Thus Hades being the name of the god and also of the underworld. Over time many deities whose names were used to refer to the afterlife became merged into one. Dis Pater was one such god. He represented the wealth beneath the land aspect of the underworld, another was Orcus who represented more the punishing of souls and Pluto who was kind of just a general caretaker in the same way Hades was. The three became equated with one another and the modern understanding of the roman lord of the underworld was born. Incidentally the City of Dis comes from Dante's Divine Comedy. D&D pulls an exceptional amount of its infernal material from the first third of Dante's work. Someone definitely said that Grog should have advantage on knowledge checks about Dis because he was the Grand Poobah of all Dis and That.
