I think this is a really insightful scene on Tary. Pretty much everyone (except for Tary and Grog) keyed in that Pike's family was taking advantage of her. It's just interesting to see that not only did Tary not even realize the superficial "love" on display (which says a lot about his home life) but also that he cares about the members of VM enough that he would pull all the effort in taking care of their family

Yeah, Tary was specifically warned to not call her little elf girl by Pike and so often abbreviates it. I was once really confused by the acronym. My headphones are somewhat broken and thus I sometimes can't hear what the cast is saying, so I use subtitles, to my dismay I am reading the subtitles and see "LE girl" and I was dumbfounded on why Tary would be calling Vex "Lawful evil Girl".

@@agustdgames3120 Pike's warning was nearer to when Tary joined VM, and he was still mostly just a rich asshole. This is after the time-skip, I believe, and Tary is now Vex's "gay best friend". He's still calling her little elf girl, but in a way that she knows he's joking. Kinda like the equivalent of "Hey bitch."

...soooo I didn't see the note. But hey, have this comment anyway. You roll the d20, then add the bonuses that you've built your character to have over levels, skills, equipment, etc. So if you've got a high Charisma, then you have a bonus that is added to rolls to engage in intimidation or diplomacy. If you've a low Charisma you might be removing points from your initial roll. So he might have rolled an 18 but had a bonus of 6 for any Charisma checks, meaning he'd add them together to make a total of 24. This has been your 'learning how to play D&D' lesson for the day.
