Quick review on the ELlight Outdoor String Lights. The 39ft string of 100 LEDs are waterproof and super cool with 120 color-changing patterns. Change the colors and patterns using a free mobile app connected to Bluetooth.
ELlights can be found here using my affiliate link amzn.to/3FEfwtO
The lights can also be used with a Dig-UNO with xLights.
Check out the links below for more info.

Thank you for the informative video! I have been contemplating getting the lights for my home. Im curious how you were able to program the lights to run smoothly across the different sections of your home. Would love to learn how to replicate that configuration.

I picked a couple of these up as well as a few boxes of ELlight 60 LED 23 foot C9 strings. Instructions were lacking, but I assume I can apply the same things you're suggesting with these strings? I'd like to cut them down to size and perhaps move to a better controller at some point

If they are 3 wire and i'm sure they are then they are the same, just a larger bulb. Thanks for watching

Is there a scattershot program, where the lights go off in non-linear sequences? I would want that look, like a sky of twinkling stars.

Sorry Noe I did not see your question come in. I want to say no they do not have a sequence like that built in. But WLED might if you hook but a Dig-uno and have that control the lights.

Is it possible to connect more than one strand of lights in separate areas to the app that is not connected? For example... Have one strand on the house and another different one on a tree?

I think you could if you made a 3 wire jumper to connect the two. My garage door and front door are connected with a 5 foot jumper I made. Thanks for watching

Do you have a link for a three pin RGB jumper so that I could connect to strands of lights that are not right next to each other

I'm not sure if my comment posted or not so I will try I again. Do you know somewhere you can get shows already done with music. Either a sharing place or to purchase. Doing the setup of lights I can do. But the programming of a show. I dont know.

Hey Mark its going to take some time to learn. I started last year and still do not have a show to display. Start with the basics or pay someone to make a show for you. Here is a great video to start with kzbin.info/www/bejne/rZCZZJWrjcSoga8 XLights is going to be the best program and its free as for a controller to make the lights turn on look at this one www.pixelcontroller.com/store/controllers/70-f16v4.html I use a few QuinLED-Dig-Uno boards. Sorry I cant be more help im still learning. After you have XLights installed on your PC and have the lights hooked to a controller you can download other shows that people made

Have had these for a month. Have been great until about 20 minutes ago. I tried to change the colors, it worked for 3 seconds then went black and is doing a slow flash of white. Can’t connect through Bluetooth anymore. Ever had issues?

So I'm a beginner. Do anyone know anyone that has programs and music done that they will either share of sell. That part may be over my head. Thanks

Google Christmas light installers near you. Some might do the music as well but it wont be cheap. I started last year and I only have one song done lol. Next year I should have a few and it will be live. This year I bought 3 candy canes and got most of it working. If you install the lights right you could leave them up all year. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bonJm2OvZsSnbtU

How far apart are the lights spaced out ?
@Ricks_Tech_Talk
@Ricks_Tech_Talk Жыл бұрын
I want to say 4 inches, I just took them down 2 months ago. I'm adding more to the house and I wanted them all to match, so I bought a bunch of all the same type.

On the video they look very close together. How did you get that look ? Will you be making a video when you put them back up ? I'd like to see that.

I was going to do a video on the track I bought for the roof. The lights will be more involved this year. I will be using Xlights for programming, a Falcon F16V4 pixel controller and a wireless radio transmitter. I dont think I will make a how to video on all that because I'm still learning, :) Here is my first Halloween song that I have programmed with xlight. kzbin.info/www/bejne/jZ7OgGpvm82Mmqc

I really like these lights, but is there a way around having to have power supply on every string when they are chained? That's a major limitation and franks a PITA!!!
@Ricks_Tech_Talk
@Ricks_Tech_Talk 2 жыл бұрын
I did get 2 strings working with one power supply. But all led lights are like that, the 5v strings need power injection alot sooner then a 12v string.

@@Ricks_Tech_Talk Same here. The lights work until it seems to cause issues with the controller then they go squirrelly. I guess I'll just have to plug in the other string and follow the string back and plug in to power. I'd like to leave the lights up year round for other holidays.

Mine are still up outside, but this year I wired them to a F16 pixel controller and used software called xlights to program my own pattern. The lights are holding up great so far pixelcontroller.com/store/products/70-f16v4.html

Can i use a nodemcu instead of a dig uno?
@Ricks_Tech_Talk
@Ricks_Tech_Talk 3 жыл бұрын
You sure can but the node mcu would need to be wired right next to the first led. The dig can be farther away from the first led.

allnetchina wont ship to you? I know they are out right now but they should be getting more. You can use the MCU just keep it close the the LEDs and put them in a waterproof box and the MCU is cheaper :) Here is where I got some of mine from shop.allnetchina.cn/products/quinled-dig-uno-led-controller

Do not cut the lights! There is no need to cut the lights! If you have finished an area in your display and in this case we’ll say you have 18 lights that you are not using, all you have to do is open your LED HUE APP and change the light count down by 18 lights, most of the time your count will be 100. Let’s say you have a string of 400 lights but the last 10 are not being used, again change your count down by 10. then those lights will not light up. As for adding a controller for music,you can do that but you void your 1 year warranty on your lights. ELlights is adding music to their lights in the near future. These lights are fantastic. There is also a support video on Utube that will show you how to setup your App, and use the App controller. I’m the America Support person, you can call me any time at 614-406-4512.

Thanks a great point and thank you for adding that comment. I only cut mine for the custom length and then reuse them if I need a longer section for another window or door. They are by far the best lights out of the box I think.
