Even with all of his super-stardom, Elliot remains so humble. It is so cool. He still has stars in his eyes, like a little kid.

Ben Orr was magical. All and each of you changed the sound of music. New wave was the term.. and you guys hit the world like a wave. Sadly, I don't feel any of you got your due. You are indeed under rated. You deserve so much more credit than you receive. Be well Elliot.

Thank you for sharing this! I’m in California too and I grew up listening to The Cars. I’m glad we still have Elliot. My heart always gets heavy when I hear The Cars because of Benjamin Orr and Ric Ocasek. I will never forget them. It’s great to hear Elliot speak about his other projects.

I don't think CARs fans could ever forget the two that started the band but without Elliott, Greg, and David they would have never made it - it was absolutely a TEAM effort and they were ALL amazing - of course Benjamin was my eye candy but I give credit to them ALL for being a major part of my teen years they were at the top of the world in the late 70s and early 80s ❣️

1978/79 I turned into an adult and Elliot Easton was a part of that. His guitar solos were so original and intricate. . They were unique and stood out as much as the vocal. Luv u Elliot!

Got the chance to spend time with Elliot a few years back and he was such a nice, laid back guy with lots of stories. Looking back, Elliot Easton had some of the most memorable, iconic guitar licks and solos in classic pop/rock history.

Love the Cars and their music! Great to hear all these memories. RIP Ric and Ben. In hindsight, would love to hear his opinion on why we never heard of any corona outbreaks from the George Floyd riots or other gatherings from 2020. Maybe we shouldn't have had the lockdowns after all. Our children and society in general have been very badly affected by all that.

My favorite guitarist I am so glad to hear Elliot is always working and during this safe and smart in his life. The one guy who never fails to deliver in his craft. That gift in the solos as well as the intricate delicate layers between the verses Elliot always wow's me even if its a line like in You Wear Those Eyes or Coattailer - it makes you ponder just what a creative mind working here. Kudos on snagging Elliot BIG LIKE!

What a great way to analyse Elliott's guitar as another voice it doesn't get much better than that buddy good words.. I heard slash call E. Easton one of his influences... The way musicians look at Elliot Easton's contribution to music today, has the same excitement and influence the Beatles gave Elliot.....EE is the next generation of music hero's... He is so in touch with what his fans want and expect..He is just a great great guy I met him on the streets a couple times over on Newbury st in Boston in the synchro sound studio days

Elliot “Easton” is such a good man. It’s like they all kept things private to protect the band, when they were really protecting one person. Ric pulled the strings and everyone else fell in line. Benjamin paid the biggest price.

Nice to hear that Elliot is finally 'rated.' Funny quip. And thanks for the stories in this conversation. It is appropriate that that je ne sais quoi about EE's solos and riffs that I love so much but I've been having a hard time defining should be so perfectly articulated by EE himself. They are compositions unto themselves, they are a part that can be hummed later on when you are thinking of the song. Yes! That's it! They are stand alone little concise songs that fit so well into making the whole song what it is rather than an obligatory guitar break.

Everyone I know that’s had Covid said it was basically a cold or flu at best. I have 2 Microbiologists in my family who work directly with Covid and both say there’s no reason for anyone to be locked down and the masks won’t keep anyone from getting or transmitting any virus. It’s all about power and control. I won’t even get into the vaccine madness, other than telling you there’s several different strains of Covid and taking a vaccine pretty much makes the immune system antibody dependent against only 1 particular strain. Many people will end up with autoimmune diseases as a result, so stay away from the vaccines.

Mr Easton knows that the Fans are what made him who he is.....and that he must play the solo's the Fans want to hear when they pat to see him.....This is unlike the Neil Young/Bob Zimmermann's of this world who advertise a 'Crazy Horse' concert and then have the nerve to play the new album(Greendale', WTF ?) no one has even heard, or worse, no one wants to hear !
@michaelharrington752 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I saw Dylan in concert back in the 90's. I was excited to be seeing him, hoping to hear all the hits, but most of the songs he played I'd never heard before, and the songs I had heard were almost unrecognizable he had changed them so much. It wasn't very memorable for me.
@wildbill21222 жыл бұрын
@@michaelharrington75 Bro,I saw him in '=on his 35TH Birthday in '78, he sucked. I am a minority w/my opinions BUT for me? Dylan is a FRAUD ! doesn't use his own name is the tip-off, yes? The songs he had hits with in the '60's were written for him by down and out 'Beat Poets' in Grenwhich Village in NYC.Dylan/Zimmerman paid peanuts for them at the time(his manager actually paid, Guy named Silver IIRC). There is a show on NETFLIX right now where his 1st manager sez it, not in those words but it is obvious what he is saying, in a passing comment.BUT I also met a 2 of these Guys in NYC during the 1980's.So I know its true.Same w/Neil Young.BS Artists, both of 'em.Almost wish I did not kno, used to be a big fan of both.
