As much as I love the romantic parts of the 50s, it's also important not to completely glaze over the abuse, sexism, racism and other forms of hatred and discrimination that were prominent at this time. Not everything was bad and their was definitely very romantic things, but it was still a very dark time. On a happier note, something that I love about this song is that it can be summed up as "vintage vibes not vintage values" I mean no hate to you in any way, I just thought this was important to acknowledge.
