Yes, you are getting this wrong. People get to figure themselves out in their own time. Just look at how many hate-filled comments there are, I'm sure he was told he would never make it as an actor if he were trans, and so he kept presenting as a woman out of fear of the consequences. Look at how many trans people get beat up, murdered, discriminated against. It's a terrifying decision, which he says in his announcement post on Instagram. I can only imagine the mix of emotions; happiness, relief, sadness at how many years he had to fit other people's expectations and how long it took to fully love himself as a person, fear for the hate that he's going to have to face now that he's come out as trans. And yet you don't understand why this might be hard and emotional and why he might feel like crying now?
