My son likes to cook with mint and when he’s done with the plant i toss it into my front “wildflower” garden and consequently it has taken over a big chunk of my garden-but at least its not weeds and is pretty and green. I love it.

We in north idaho have had crappy weather-rain/wind/cold-so gardening here is also behind schedule as are my david Austins-perking along ever so slowly and i lost a few with the nasty winter (even tho they were in the greenhouse and covered in mulch). Gabriel Oak appears to be very hardy and is going great guns. Cant wait for his flowers.

Your garden is just magnificent! So colorful and healthy! I envy your rain although I know it gets tiresome ! I planted 5 new boxwoods, 3 Jasmine and 12 lantana in our back yard. The lantana have yellow flowers and love the heat and dry climate here in west Texas. When it rains, they get mad and won’t bloom! We’ve had to replace shrubs the past couple of years because we have had way too many 100+ degree days in the summer. 1003, 107, and 110 are not uncommon! The poor plants just suffer in this heat. We are just going through a phase of these horrible temperatures. It’s a cycle. We’ll get back to the normal high 90’s in a couple of years.
