Kevin Ratterman is an awesome drummer. He is the reason I loved Elliott, especially on US Songs. On False Cathedrals it seemed like he toned down a lot. Still a great album, just seemed like someone put the handcuffs on him for that album.

Us songs was such a huge influence on me til this very day I still listen to it a few times a month. Watching you guys play live back in 99 was amazing! Your sound was something that was so unique to me. I LOVED the drums as I'm a drummer myself and that's what got me so into Elliott in the beginning. I saw texas is the reason reunite back in 2014...any hopes of an Elliott reunion tour in the future?

@@NandorTheRelentless76 yes, I am that same person. Thank you for appreciating what pathos we wrought. Nothing matched performing. It was sacred. We've discussed a reunion a few years back. It seems as if we are the only ones who haven't. Kevin lives in Los Angeles now.

@@jaypalumbo5655 Well, I for one can tell you that if you guys ever got back together for a reunion tour, I would go to as many shows as possible. I only was able to see you guys play twice when you were in the band and 1 other time when Benny was the guitarist. To be honest, I prefer you over Benny. Not saying anything bad about him, I just liked the aggressiveness of your playing and the harder edge to the music on US Songs and the If they Do EP. Are you playing in a band these days? @@NandorTheRelentless76 Benny was the bass player from Falling Forward. He was our roadie for many tours and filled in for Jonathan on a few occasions. I moved out into the wilderness when I left the band. I am still here in the forest.

this is rife with vitriol delivered exquisitely. yes the drummer is a badass but I would have liked the vocals higher in the mix. I don’t have the 7in anymore or the cd. looking lyrics if they are about?

The drums should have been louder in the mix...the paradox is that the drummer was the engineer on this. We recorded this ourselves. Kevin is brilliant. It's all upsetting and spectacular.

I have some great pictures, like actual pictures from a lens camera from a show at the shelter in detroit. I’m not a photographer by trade but somehow they turned out incredible. One of the nights I’ll never forget, thanks for that.

@@jaypalumbo5655 hey, this is a great mix down, i think. it's reminiscent of some of the british bands of the time when the vox were mixed a bit lower and more ethereal. i get a bit of a catherine wheel feel from this actually.
