One of the most amazing songs and artist of all time, nothing can amount to the true emotional value in his voice, you can feel and understand him more just by the tones and pitches of his voice, truly brilliant man, he has helped me through so much, and never fails to pluck at the heart strings, there's still a couple songs I can't help but tear up to due to the intense emotion and memories they strike. RIP Elliott.

This song always amazed me because it has such percussive effects, yet no drums. It's the first song I've noticed where the guitars and voice just take over to such an extent that it makes you feel like it's grinding towards its conclusion without further need for input. It's just an intense feeling.

This song i'm pretty sure is about being lonely after feeling abandoned, then drinking away your problems as your life passes you by, until you don't want to live anymore. Though there are some parts of this song I don't understand like "You cast you'r shadow everywhere, like the man in the moon" what the heck does that mean? That really gets under my skin, because Elliott smith didn't just put in lyrics for a laugh. They meant everything, some songs like "I didn't understand" didn't even have instruments, just Elliott telling a story of pain and his worries. I think these lyrics mean something and I have no idea what.
