This is one of my favorite songs of his, especially as a guitarist, it’s impeccable.

If he was this great in 2000 I can't even imagine where he could be right now. What a loss!

This song...my word...this song. His voice breaks a couple of times and I know that this will happen when you are stressing your vocal chords....but I really think he was getting choked up emotionally. Like the content was deeply personal (like most of his songs were) but what he was singing about was particularly close to the surface when he sang it. My heart..it's in a million pieces.

This is very rock-ish for Elliott, but I really like it. Thanks for posting, this video is awesome quality :)

I saw you with Mr. Goodmorning Some velvet rope on the curb He gave me a wink for a warning I saw "do not disturb me" Don't try reading my mind It isn't going to get you anywhere Going by, just between us I won't cry, I wasn't even there I made the interior landscape Where he's been dancing with you Fell in like a leaf on the water Nowhere that I'm going to now Don't try reading my mind It isn't going to get you anywhere Going by, just between us I won't cry, I wasn't even there What you could do but you won't I want a future and you don't Guess I care about you after now I saw you with Mr. Goodmorning There's been some others before And when you've decided he's boring That's when he'll think he adores you Don't try reading my mind It isn't going to get you anywhere Going by, just between us I won't cry, I wasn't even there

elliott had 2 gibson es-330's, a pre-1969 red one in standard tuning and a '69 or later sunburst one in open d (dadf#ad) (the difference between the pre and post 1969 is the fret at which the neck joins the body, the post at the 19th fret and the pre at the 16th, but that's probably more than you want to know).
@jarneyjnr23163 жыл бұрын

what if elliott could read minds and he found its the same thing as the slaves ya know? like americas the plantation and we're not allowed to read or share thought dreams? like how slaves weren't allowed to read or write. that'd be something.
