The first phone and the titan are for one wallet, the second phone is the foreign wallet that the transaction is coming from/going to. Sending money from one person to another, but only one person's cold wallet is shown.

What about having 2 ellipads? One for the majority of your coins and the second for everyday use. Couldn't you just theoretically transfer coins from one too another as needed? People the second phone is only used to generate a QR code for a destination to send the coins... pretty obvious. you have your ellipal, stores the stuff, app on phone is the controls, 2nd phone is just used to generate QR code for destination, could be a QR code from a exchange instead. What I want to know if, how do i put money ON the ellipal, I see it in my app, does that means its on the ellipal?

Yes, the balance will show up on the ellipal app, the titan will not show it. The ELLIPAL Titan Cold Wallet is a completely offline and air-gapped device. It's purpose is to securely store your private keys and provides a secure way to sign your transaction. Being offline allows it to be secure but it also means it doesn't connect to the blockchain. Because it is not connected, it cannot show you how much coins you have. By syncing your smartphone with the ELLIPAL Titan through the ELLIPAL App, you can easily view all of your coins and its value there.

I need help. I think we need a better video or something.... i am lost. I can't transfer anything off of the titan. Will not authorize it with the "sign" button. I also got SOLO airdrop and I've now been on it for a few hours, and it will not accept it. It's on the "XRP" tab. I don't see what people are not understanding about, the UI tells clearly what you have to do... everybody I know who uses Ellipal all says its very straight forward. It's all new and more secure mechanics so yes...maybe you are taken by surprise, so what? Just slow down and try it yourself step by step. After one try, you would already understand how to do it.

Imagine a scenario, where you go to a gas station that has a Bitcoin ATM inside... and you want to sell some of your crypto, to the ATM... and get CASH from the ATM in exchange for your crypto. The crypto ATM machine will display a QR code on it’s screen, which “is” the address where you need to send your Bitcoin or other crypto. (You asked why, in this video, their is a second phone being used - the second phone in this video is just REPRESENTING the ATM machine’s screen displaying the QR code which is designating where you must send your bitcoin to). The second phone is just a prop. You will not be using a second phone. The second phone was only used to display a QR code (which contains the recipients wallet address) which “your” crypto wallet app can read via your phone’s camera.

So I setup my new hardware wallet and software on my phone and then transferred about 5 DOT to the hardware wallet. When I went to withdrawal, it said I had to keep 1 DOT in my wallet. WTF So after I made the withdrawal it didn't even show my 1 DOT. I deleted the app from my phone and hardware wallet and then used my seed phrase to recover and setup the app again, not only is my DOT not there, but it doesn't even show any history transactions that I made with DOT. I have not made any other deposits and now I'm afraid to even use it. I was going to store my BTC, ETH and Cardano but if I can't recover my DOT, I don't trust it. Please help! I did update the firmware too.

I know this is an old comment, but for anyone now seeing it. First check to see if the transaction went through on the block explorer. If it had you’re most likely in luck and the funds are most assuredly in your wallet. The app itself can be a little buggy, things disappear at times which will make you shit a brick, but it’s still there and will usually unfuck itself later. I did contact customer support through their website and they fixed one coin I was having issues with on the app. It did take a couple days for them to respond, I don’t think they have a committed support team that checks hourly. I could be wrong but this is my experience and opinion. Anyways I’ve had my ELLIPAL for 2 years, outside of minor bugs it’s been really fantastic and do recommend it to anyone looking for a cold wallet.

I think the Ellipal Titan has a flaw or something. I create an account WITHOUT a pass phrase. Load coins. Delete the account. Use the seed to recreate an account but WITH a pass phrase the coins are there. Vise verse. If I create one WITH a phrase, fund it, delete it, recreate it WITHOUT the pass phrase the coins are there. I’m a newbie so I could misunderstand what the Pass Phrase is. Do you have any thoughts?

You do not need 2 phones. The second phone was only used as a prop. Think of the second phone as being a piece of paper with a QR code printed on it (identifying your recipient’s wallet address)... or a computer screen displaying a QR Code (identifying your recipient’s wallet address). When sending crypto, you must identify “where” (the address) you are sending it to. Right? That can be done by a displayed QR Code (which contains the recipient wallet address) or by specifying the recipient address with words (which identify the recipients wallet address). In this video, they chose to use a “QR Code” to identify the recipient address, SINCE ELLIPAL IS A QR CODE-BASED WALLET. The second phone’s purpose was simply to display the receiver’s wallet address, in the form of a QR Code. -From the redundancy department
