This type of oval chuck is good for small parts with slow rpms. At faster speeds it goes slam-bang.

It reminds me of the fabrication process of plutonium into rings so they don't go critical.

Looking good! It's a good idea to make the ring able to move up and down a little. That way you can check it and adjust it with an indicator to make sure it is centered up and down perfectly with the spindle. That will make it run nicer.

All 4 studs are eccentric exactly for that so I can adjust in every direction
