As a marching percussionist who almost only plays irregularities and rhythm hemiolas, I can guess that it's really challenging to incorporate such complexity into something like loopstation where you have to rely on consistent numbers of measures to align with each other. I think what's the most impressive with their beats and rhythms is how they create the foundation in parts to make these "on the beat" patterns, so that they can dissect it throughout their piece
@Mj-kl3rb4 жыл бұрын
Also btw, that was indeed 7/8 but the looper had choppy delays when he was pressing the buttons
@plamantin29374 жыл бұрын
the rythm things that you are talking about is REALY hard to do with a loopstation in 3 min, but i think that the solo beatbox has way more of that
@imblurryy73174 жыл бұрын
This is very true. You can find a lot more complex beat patterns for solo beatboxing
@Mj-kl3rb4 жыл бұрын
NME did RC 505 (boss) beatbox, and it was 5/8. The problem is part of the criteria of the judging system is crowd response too, and those complex rhythms cannot be danced to. You can see it in NME vs Inkie grand beatbox battle. Although it was impressive and the crowd loved it, they weren't really jamming to it

Hey man, same as last video, you got the name mixed up. The short, buzz cut guy is NME, and the guy's whose 3 performance you like is Saro. I think NME has talent and potential, but he is not consistent, he's more like a young artist still exploring. I think the people who watch him performs tend to overhype him a bit much. Truth is he's still got ways to go before he can be a complete artist
@theyonlycomeoutwhenitsquiet4 жыл бұрын
He experiments. That necessarily means his performances will be more volatile. But when they work, they seem almost like more important successes because of the risks he takes
@hoanganhnguyentran73684 жыл бұрын
@@theyonlycomeoutwhenitsquiet I like the things he presents like the ideas and sounds, but tbh I feel underwhelmed by his performances sometimes because of his lack of structure and flow. Robin Gbb wildcard 2020 is a good example of a musical loop with good flow
