Judges are all either world champions, or revered beatboxers. They know what's up. Moreover you didn't give the crowd enough credit. A lot of them are beatboxers themselves and most can realize the artistry in addition to the difficulty of a routine. While yes it's true that many simply want sick beats and drops to bump to. If the Artist on the stage does it just right, the crowd will respect that. Codfish's 2018 compilation displays that perfectly.

Nah man the lip syncing is respectful. They're both legends. Top top of the loop station talent. They both have good voices too. Also in the heat of the battle maybe there's so friendly competition but always so much respect

MB14's second round is massively slept on. You can even hear the audience boo him. I'm a musician as well so I tend to be very open to other cultural/type of music and he combines ambiance, Chinese, and Italian chanting into one song. Very beautiful in my opinion and without doubt one of my top favorite tracks from him. People in these loop station battles only want drops, and that's their flaw. The level of his musicality is way too good for these people.

Thorsen's one of the best loopers out there, he got to the semi-finals on the World championship as well as good performances on the Multiverse battles and GBB 2016/2017 (winning on 2016 if I'm not wrong)
