(In Kurdish: cheers= ba khoshi) In iraq the action you do in cheers by hitting the glasses are usually not pleasant. Bcz in our country mostly used by alcoholic peoples, in iraq you're in a prominent muslim country. And alcohol in islam is haram. Thats why they dont like it, but this dont mean they are hating you❤️🙏.

Maybe then it was blocked off due to restoration projects, if you visit again I recommend you to visit the old center where you can visit the keep of Zaxo (kelha Zaxo), sîka tarî/kevin (the dark/old market) and the old mosque of Zaxo. There's also multiple old bridges, like pira delal and pira shaha, or the ruins of the masoleum at the graveyard.
