Loved the way you both ordered Puttu and Iddiyappam. The round snack is Mothakam THe outer covering is made of red rice flour and the filling is a mixture of Mungdhal (Green gram), Coconut, jaggery and cardamom powder. A traditional snack in the northern region made at Temples, festivals and weddings.

You're doing such a wonderful job and doing differently ❤. Trincomalee is world over for Natural Harbour, Koneshwarm Hindu Temple and Natural hot springs situated close proximity. In my mind goes back to year in 2000. I had a privileged to visit beautiful Eastern part of Sri Lanka ( during memorandum of understanding sign by government of Sri Lanka And L.T.T.E) During that time i have been Trincomalee and there will be archaeological Buddhist Temple situated near by.( Welgam Raja Maha Viharaya, Trincomalee) Thank you so much for once again for behaviour like a local. I like the way you eating and understanding people's behaviour. You make my memories live once again 🙏

Not many westerners visiting Sri Lanka ask for the food to be more spicy. @35:00 You guys went for the Necto & Orange crush missing out the Cream soda. Hope you do get a chance to try it, I literally drank gallons of it in my childhood. Those three soft drinks by Elephant House has been consumed by a few generations of locals as they go back a long time.

I wonder if they close the deer park for rutting season, male deer are extremely dangerous during mating season. The country boy in me saw lots of deer jerky in that heard of deer, lol. All of them were female but one. Deer here only have those spots when young as fawns. They were fully grown with spots and the male had antlers so that isn't an indicator of their age like here. The others were big enough that if there were a male they would have had antlers too.
