I do. I was actually moving towards a win there. I had natural order and I was going to make some tokens. I do plan to play her more.

@@cedhtvgameplay3974 also brew her in the last few days and i think this will be my first white deck without Abolisher and Abolisher like effects. My gameplan is getting out those impactfull cmc 2 stax pieces like ouphe and then dealing a lot of damage with Ellivere. if i already have my early stax, there isnt much else i have to protect on my turn. Doesnt play any combos or such.

17:03 I would have also considered a Smothering Tithe here since there was a Sylvan Library out you would have considerably benefited alot from that also 😂

Arbitrary statements: Manglehorn was in play, Myrel created an soldier artifact creature token. It comes in tapped. (That’s it!) if say he needed that to be untapped for a chord of calling it would’ve been illegal …. Buuuuut it was eldritch evolution and none of this means anything. Pretty clean and straight forward gameplay. It be like that sometimes. 6 turns of hitting land drops fairly and just hard casting shit from your opening hand is so honest but it wins games 😂

I'm really happy Rhetoric got to showcase locking onto a great gameplan with solid execution! Blood Pod offers a lot of options, and sometimes it's hard to decide what to do. That tutor for Ranger-Captain to sneak in protection for the combo and stealthing beneath the battle of interaction were clutch.

2nd game, you said there weren't any misplays afterwards, but I think playing out endurance on your turn was a misplay. Ouphe isn't slowing down bloodpod, and their primary wincon pulling felidar guardian out of the yard. Endurance has flash and plays through rcoe, and it can be a blocker if anyone tries to kill you in combat if needed. Even though we don't know that they have a pod effect in hand, I think it's still reasonable to play around it since it's their primary line, and you can ultimately play it on blood pod's end step if needed, no harm.

For Pontus's Heliod list would you considered add Drafna?? for another redundacy combo with either Chromatic Orrery or Coveted Jewel for infinite mana + draw whole deck.

why is pontus handicapping himself by playing heliod? is there a restriction on what he can or can't play? and if he has to play an azorius commander wouldn't shorikai be a better option?

No i happen to like the deck funnily enough. This was also to give myself room to shout out a tournament happening in the world. Shorikai and heliod, while being the same colour combo, operate on very different axes. Heliod is actually really unique in what it brings on top of that. It's not a deck i reccomend but it's fun and comments tend to like it

@@cedhtvgameplay3974 He doesn't have Winota's explosiveness or winning combos, he can't boost himself*, and he trades red for green. Winota gets better every time a cheap value creature is printed in red or white, something WotC has been strongly leaning towards. Ellivere only improves if they figure out how to make decent stax creatures, which is something of a rarity that they don't seem to be focusing on. I especially don't like him because I see this meme of him getting pushed (mostly in comparison to Winota) and I feel like people aren't really thinking it through. *This is the one that makes me the most angry. Why can't he boost himself? It doesn't make any sense!
