Flubs would have milled themselves for the storm count, they would draw/discard for each cast of the creature

Flubs doesn’t trigger when he cast himself, he need to be on the field to do so. Jérôme already had a huge storm count from casting Eternal scourge and played Flubs over and over just for the flavor, by keeping sacrificing him to foodchain, there was never a time where Flubs was on the field to see a spell being cast, so he could not trigger. But If Jérome did not have brainfreeze in hand he could have played Flubs, then play eternal scourge over and over again to proceed to draw/discard to find a game ending card! 😁

@PongifiedCedh totally, I didn't mean to say that he didn't get the win. It's something I noticed while learning to play Flubs myself; there's a clear loop, but there's a couple of distinct steps to mention before throwing the number "billion" around. Love the deck, great video!

I love flubs. I went a lil more land fall but idk how I feel about the 0 mana creature . I think I want to be doing something good a little more consistent so my curve has just gone up with time.

I feel you on that, it was also the conclusion we came upon after these game! The deck is really glass canon, but maybe it will evolve into something else! What do your list look like?

Rocco could do sniper if he has eternal witness in the deck, which is very likely. I have both Rocco and flubs, they are very fun to play.

You’re right! Like we said, at that point in the game he could win in a lot of way! How are your game with Flubs going so far? Glass canon or King among fool? 😉

@@PongifiedCedh =) ,,, Flubs is fun to pilot. As "turbo" deck, it is not hard to get it online on turn 2 or 3, but in cedh without any way to interact with others gets very tricky, so I did add some removals against stacks, and I have some different combos, like Ashaya + Ranger and some funmy things like power balance + counter balance + SD Top. Won a game casting the whole deck from exile + alter of the brood. It's a fool deck but it works, hahaha

I think flubs is a trap deck for beginner players. Every time I’ve seen him in cEDH he either wins only because he’s on a Temur goodstuff pile. When he’s actually supposed to storm, he always ends up being barely more than a one with nothing in the command zone.

Yeah he really is a « all my eggs in the same basket» deck. We loved the originality and the personality of Flubs, but ultimately he’s inconsistent and risky, but still super fun! Personally i wouldn’t risk it in a tournament, but he’s fun to play!

I agree completely. Decks that force you to play bad cards/strategies to "unlock" the power of the deck are counterintuitive to the whole idea of cedh, playing the most powerful cards lol

Wise! Cycling is also a great way to not trigger Flubs at the wrong time! Also Eruth is such a bomb in there!
