The casters touched upon this: think about how easy it seemed for Astralis. The fact that they won so convincingly and by such large leads makes you kind of suspect that that wasn't even close to showing the depth of their strat-book.

When SK used to dominate CSGO scene, there was a meme about it being SK_Train, because of their run of 20 consecutive unbeaten games. That roster also was known by executing amazing comebacks (they once went down 9-0 against astralis and still made it to OT, lifting the trophy) and gorgeus clutches and highlights by coldzera. But i think astralis is different. They don't rely on a single strong map nor much less on a good player doing clutches, since to be able to perform comebacks and clutches you need to capitalize upon opponents' mistakes. They have an extremely tactical game philosophy and have a plan B for every possible situation at the match, this way they are pretty good in almost all maps. They can neutralize every highlight, every clutch, then can make a amazing player like Simple looks silly. Dude, starting on the terrorist side against Navi and managing to close the first half by 11x4 on Nuke, which is a completely CT Side favorable map, man this is simply ridiculous... Astralis boys are in another dimension

Astralis are playing such a dominant and good cs that it is almost boring to watch their games in my opinion, because the other teams almost dont have a chance. I enjoyed the challenger and legends stage games more this major than then playoffs. These games were closer annd more exciting. But i still have to pay some respect to astralis for their skill and team play :) And again a good analysis by you! Keep up the great content ;)

Of course it is not astralis' fault, you are right. They are just 2 steps ahead. But that makes is not that exciting like two teams on the same level. I hope the other teams work on their mistakes and break that astralis era to show some exciting games ;)
@zombiemachinery4868

It is boring because this game doesn't encourage clutching at all. One of the things that I hate the most is that if you are in a 4v1 or 3v1 you have to stop playing the game to not lose your rifle, absolutely stupid. A game that encourages you to not play instead of playing the actual game. This game should have a huge reward system to encourage clutching. This is becoming not only boring to watch but also boring to play. Watching Astralis playing is almost like watching a chess game.

Astralis is like a SKT t1 team from league of legends. They bring new strategy and play style that make it 1 perfect game. Not just go kamikaze and wish for lucky shot. As this happen, all team will learn this and Astralis will not be in the same position again. For us, the fans, we can get 1 minute quick nap every round before the fight scene start. if u know what i mean.
@miner4236
@miner4236 6 жыл бұрын
Other teams won't learn because there is only a very limited amount of geniuses. This applies to csgo. A lot of tier 1 team members are simply not smart enough to compete with current Astralis. We've always said Astralis simply play off their opponent's mistakes, well yeah. They do. The other teams aren't as smart, thus always make mistakes. This won't get fixed lol unless new players arrive
@Boomerangi13
@Boomerangi13 6 жыл бұрын
I think other teams will have to adapt and restructure themselves. This will take time with constant tourneys every few weeks at least, as reprogramming a team's entire structure and practice routines is no small task. What we desperately need for the scene is better coaching. Better salaries and more respect from viewers and players alike. Coaches like zonic are almost unheard of even in modern csgo. Individual team members have way too much influence over what goes on in the team and how they play, based only on feeling how they want to play. Whereas zonic actually has influence over team members, having the authority to bench players based on performance. Not to mention the countless hours he puts in to help gla1ve lead and innovating from an outside perspective. Why I mention salaries is because it's simple. Who'd wanna make the commitment to be a CSGO coach right now? It's not a well respected position like in professional sports, where a coach can make or break a team. Most CSGO coaches nowadays are coaches because of connections or just love for the game. This doesn't guarantee the best talent. zonic is an anomaly. Not to even speak of the fact that Astralis is simply ahead of the curve. They've played this clean brand of Counter-Strike for years, perfected it over time in their system with only small roster changes over this time. This is why we need proper coaches for the other teams. They don't have years to perfect their gameplan if they truly want to be the best any time soon. I don't see Astralis imploding with their system unless their players face internal issues. And even for that, Astralis is already ahead. Their support system is unparalleled. The hiring of a sports psychologist, the one and only zonic and the players' own mindsets are what separate them from the rest.

I wish you have covered the way they push positions together, that one round where Flamie was awping ramp for CT, where he is holding an angle, and in like 3 seconds he sees smoke, gets flashed of his position, drops down and picks a very narrow angle one last time only to see 4 terrorist faces and Device already holding an angle with awp and instantly killing him.

navi's t-sides in the grand final were horrific. they gain little to no map control, try to execute with 20 seconds left and hope s1mple and electronic hit their shots, and s1mple didn't really turn up at all. only 7 t rounds over 2 maps, 3 of which came off the back of a pistol win. truly zeus calling at his worst, something we have seen in past navi lineups. gla1ve is the first man in...it's his role to just go right in and create space. he has his other players make sure to be right behind him for that instant trade. however if it was Dupreeh who's pretty well known for being a fantastic entry I'm sure he checks more angles just because that's his role. however in that strat it's gla1ves role to just push in and get as much map control as possible.

because every team has that one map that they perma ban and don't practice for a reason...most teams that Astralis played are capable of playing Nuke but aren't capable of playing other maps. This youtuber on the other hand has all the time in this world to do so. That’s why, don’t take those analysts seriously, because the format of streaming makes it impossible to do real analysis.
