"Sweet Talkin' Woman" lays down a drum-friendly rhythm, delirious bursts of swirling strings and endlessly overdubbed backing vocals, all of which mesh to seamlessly form an ornate, but irresistible funhouse of pop hooks.

You are HONEST unlike so many reactors on here who like everything they listen too (I don't believe them)! They do so to try and establish a viewership, whereas you are honest! Angela, ELO is my favorite band, so it puzzles me when someone says they didn't care for one of their songs. Especially a widely beloved classic like, "Sweet Talkin' Woman". However, the LAST thing I would want would be for you to pretend to like a song that you didn't. *So thank you for your honesty* -- and the sweetness with which you expressed it. Next from ELO, I suggest you react to my favorite song from their wonderful catalog, about a different kind of woman than the one you just reacted to. lol It's called *"Evil Woman"* and since its release in 1975, I've never met anyone that didn't like it...most adore it! :D

ELO was a deliberate attempt at morphing classical orchestra, with the raw freedom and spontaneity of modern pop/rock! Actually it's simple!!! But it was their BABY, and they brought it up well!!! One drawback to ELO, WAS ........ ~ELO~ ! When you make the decision to pair up orchestral based musical ideas with pop, you get a never ending conflictuation that the listener(s) are either ok with,, or,, NOT ok with!!! Analogy ....... oil & water ....... get it?!?!?!?!

1. I appreciate your honesty. It validates all the other positive reactions you've had to other songs. We can't like everything equally. You still showed respect to something that just doesn't click for you here. No need to apologize. 2. These videos are understood to be, for the most part, initial reactions. I will tell you that some of my favorite tunes are ones I initially dismissed or even "hated." Most of us who have listened to these songs for years, experienced them in repeated plays: hearing them in a store, while riding down the road in a car, or at a skating rink. It is possible that if you were to encounter this song in one of those ways, it would hit you right, and you would find yourself humming and seeking to hear it again. But then again, maybe not. 3. I do love this song, as I do most ELO music. This one is upbeat and positive, and always makes me feel good. The instrumentation, vocals, and production value are of a quality we just don't see in the music of today. I appreciate the opportunity to hear it again, see your reaction, and read the comments and opinions of others on this channel. Thank you!

I appreciate Lynne's production of their songs. But as a primarily rock n roll enthusiast, the only hit they had, that left it's mark on me, was their cover of Roll Over Beethoven. That truly rocked. Their intro to Evil Woman helped that tune into a rock groove. I agree with your review. Better to be honest, than just pander. People will disagree with my taste also.

If you're a, "rock enthusiast", I would think you'd really like some other ELO tracks like, "Rockaria", and, "Do Ya". Have you heard them?
@chrisjamieson34522 жыл бұрын
@@Cosmo-Kramer I think I heard Do Ya. But i don't remember. I listened to their hits, but not their albums. I'm certain there are cuts I'd also like. I posted this comment to support her position of what she truly thought. And to suggest songs I'd pick from them. I watched a review of the male of a highly watched reaction channel, doing the Beatles I Want You. His 1st reaction to the Beatles & he didn't like it. He also wasn't much of a music critic. Later I see him and his wife, and they now give positive reviews of every song they react to. It's just not honest. Makes me not want to watch them, Though I don't think they need to be really negative & insulting either.
