It's fascinating to hear Jeff Lynne say (at 16:10) that in 1976 a relatively new British band could enjoy huge success touring in the US. Radio stations were still independent and highly local, and were the main way people discovered music. Maybe since they were from from an era of great classic rock bands people seized the chance to go to concerts.

Genial ELO, genial Jeff Lynne y grandes aportes de Kelly Groucutt, Bev Bevan, Mik Kaminsky, Hugh McDowell, Mike Edwards y especialmente Richard Tandy y Louis Clark.

How many times have i watched this final part of OGWT? I know ive seen it at least 50 times. I just like watching Jeff act silly. I have a feeling a part of this was nervousness, but hes so cute when he laughs.

My gourd, that was one HAIRY era for the blokes. Lynne & Wood look like the wolfman in mid-transformation.

Was the individual calling himself “Roy Wood” living under the British version of our Witness Protection Program? That is obviously one hell of a disguise but why compromise your anonymity by appearing on television? That sort of defeats the purpose, doesn’t it?
