Firefly removal. Once the clamp option was removed I periodically have the firefly issues with harsh HDRi lights. Glad to now have a fix.

I applaud Chaos and Vlado for the opportunity to prolong perpetual licenses for those still eligible. Firefly removal looks like a fantastic feature for animations since they've always been a pain to get rid of, but I'll have to put off buying this version for now, let's see what Update 1 brings. There's just not enough innovation here or must-have solutions to justify the cost for now, in this day and age of spectacular real-time capabilities of Unreal Engine, I expected V-Ray 7 to offer something major to remain highly competitive. V-Ray GPU needs much more attention, I'd love it if we could get almost Vantage-like responsiveness and speed directly in the 3dsMax viewport with it. Maybe one day.

chaos and their licensing practices are disgusting ..have you seen how much interest they charge if you can't afford the upfront cost? ..make sure to take the sale all the way to the payment screen to see just how much this lot try to hurt those without big wallets ...no indie licences, gpu support has been on going for years and yet the same simple functions haven't been ported over yet. just more bloat ware instead of finishing tasks they were supposed to be tackling years back and then charging an absolute fortune for it even for those who are hobbyist and learning without the ability to get an education licence

Thank you. There is no exciting innovation.

@@jackarnold3293 They will present the innovation I want to see and I will find it interesting. I didn't see any big deal to switch to Vray. Got it, idiot?

@@jackarnold3293 Integrate Vantage. I'm not a programmer and have no idea how difficult that is, but Redshift is working on their real time option within the plugin.

Could you please make some video about migrating from Corona to Vray? From A to Z? As far as I remember Vray was really mess to set up good render quality and that was the main reason to switching to corona which is basically one render click. Now, I see that Vray is much more robust and powerfull render, thanks in advance!

they're basically the same ...I think corona is better for archviz, and maybe a non -biased engine ??

Take Ryzen Threadripper with multiple CPU cores and as much memory you can afford.

higher speed cores over core count apparently .. who knows . I've been trying to figure out for ages which is better for phoenix fd, and how to get frame scrubbing time down when cache sizes are over 1gb ..no clue

@@R1PPA-C I use AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3990X 64-Core Processor 2.90 GHz and AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3970X 32-Core Processor 3.70 GHz, both with 128 GB of memory. Usually 64-core CPU is faster but it could be also depended on the task.
