Aside from all the food/drink words, yabosayo is the only Korean I know. My Chinese, despite 5 yrs of study, is very primary. As an autistic, I would have killed myself for bad grades in Korea. The elderly had no pensions until recently. Korea is hyper competitive.

Sorry for the wall of text, but... How can you defend such people? Simple - you just need someone who constantly rewrites the truth so blatantly that there are people who admire it when you go against the facts like that. You know better, but you carry on, you spin the narrative until you become complicit. You are also pushed in this direction by others, the guys that tell you how bad your chosen path is, so that you only receive confirmation within your own group - outside of it, you are lonely, isolated and, depending on the degree of financial participation, possibly even broke. Then there are those who join the game because they recognize bubbles in the market and want to avoid being too clever too soon and only want to leave the roulette table as late as possible in order to take the peak with them. They continue to do this and keep the market alive for as long as it brings them advantages. Then, at some point, they get up and leave everyone else out in the cold. When the two groups meet, it is advantageous for both to join forces for a while. However, there are not only players at the table, but also the dealer, who also controls the game. The dealer is also very good at recognizing who is a believer and who is a knower - and distrusts both sides - just as the knower knows that the dealer knows about him. The only fools in the game are the useful sheep, which both the dealer and the knower will shear in due course. But the dealer also has a problem: he has to play the game for as long as he needs to. Although he knows earlier than those in the know when the game will end, there are still a few other players who are playing against him and are also sitting at the table - but some of them are open and some are hidden. They are betting against him, against those in the know, against the sheep. And then there is the state, which monitors everything and interferes if necessary. But the really good dealer attacks them because he knows that he has an army of sheeps and others who are interested in keeping the game going just long enough. Preferably forever: you milk people and milk them again and again and again. It's a trial of strength, but laws were made for such cases because citizens are made to be sheeple, thinking they realize and not understanding that they are being manipulated, only to admit surprise later. There are heaps of examples in history. Later it was a fever dream for everyone and no one ever wanted to have known anything. People know very well very soon - they just _want_ to believe. And they want to be controlled, because someone is nurturing their belief - and for some people that's already enough.
@realchris5 ай бұрын
Appreciate your in-depth thoughts on this stuff. As you point out this has gone on throughout history and is a feature of the system, not an anomaly. And as you know ultimately the sheep get slaughtered.
@Itory13375 ай бұрын
@@realchris Unfortunately, it is also historically known how things stand with those who know better. People don't want to listen to them beforehand because they shake the foundations of faith. Afterwards, people don't want to listen to them because they are already down and don't want to be reprimanded. And if you then suggest that they should at least learn from history, they will say that you should also stop being constantly reminded of it. Only to then step into the same pile again. Those who do not learn from history are cursed to repeat it. Those who close their minds to facts will inevitably be crushed by them. Fate will come because you will never beat the math in the game. In the end, the dealer defeats himself because his hubris is inherent to his failure. The only question is: “when”
